Secondly, how long do I let it ride? What’s our target price? Does it have a long runway?
The Nvidia CEO said on Wednesday afternoon during his earnings call that robotics and physical AI are the next wave.
Inference is now and will continue to grow, physical AI is now to next.
This, for me, is an investment, not a trade. I hold OUST like I hold NBIS.
I didn’t consider selling NBIS at $90 though I bought at $30, and I’m not considering selling above $200.
Likewise, I bought OUST at $24.
$35 is nice, but we’re just getting started here.
My short term PT is $51 based on a market re rating, but I won’t sell shares there.
I’ll re evaluate based on earnings and news from quarter to quarter, but I think this will only get bigger.
Watch the video. And that’s only a small portion of their business…so far…

I have been saying for a long time that a "low hanging fruit" for AI is traffic handling. I'm tired of missing the light when there are no other cars around and waiting 2 minutes for the light to turn green. Can you imagine how much more efficient traffic flow would be if the light signals adjusted for the actual traffic, rather than on preset timers? I invested in Oust because of this, even though I don't know if they will use Lidar or cameras for this... I hope Lidar, because of depth perception and ability to "see" in the dark.
That is just one application, and that is one that has barely been touched. That doesn't include self driving cars, robots, helping blind people to see, etc..
Like AI itself, this is just the beginning.
What I would look out for is disruptive technology that could replace Oust's lidar hybrid in the future, but I don't see that now. I've invested and am holding for the forseeable future.

…continued
Revenue is growing at roughly 40% annually. They’ve reported 13 straight quarters of growth.
That puts 2030 revenue, conservatively, at 800mm
Slap just a 9x p/s rating on it and you’re looking at 7.2bn cap (OUST is trading at 10x 2026 sales currently).
That’s $115/share as a three year price target (but I think that the P/S will expand to 12 and that revenue will increase with Rev8 and smart infrastructure adoption).
A more aggressive take (900mm at 12 p/s) yields 171.81 per share
A blended model with 10% dilution factored in, brings us to $129.10
2029 price target looking forward to 2030 revenue is $129
This is rough revenue based math.
We can do a bit better once we see profit margins, hopefully next year, and then can assign a P/E ratio rather than P/S.

So the more I look at this one, the more I struggle with my investment level being too light.
I am rather tied up with big bets on other players but the more I read on this the more excited I get. have a few (17 35 Jan options and 1,600 shares) but really need to add more.
My draw to it is it is a classic two prong investment: (1) legitimate significant use opportunity into a brand new world - love the domestic aspect; and (2) we know there will be a monster physical AI pump in the future, regardless of success and they are positioned for that.
I am going to have to lift up the cushions on the couch

I’m glad to see that the two of you are bullish on OUST

I think you need to correct this...
I also think revenue is going to accelerate, because the number of use cases is increasing exponentially. I still don't see $800B for at least another decade...

You and I are different in how we look at stocks. You tend to be more technical and look at charts/trends and I tend to go where my gut tells me - I need to "see" where it is going and understand it. Does it make sense, and where is the competition or other barriers to success? I also have done this enough to ask questions and not just invest because it sounds good.
That is why I stay away from crypto. I can't tell you why crypto goes up or down, other than market sentiment.
That is why you are invested in MRLN and BLDP, and I'm invested in HGRAF.
I think it is a good sign when our viewpoints overlap on a stock.

Looking to add some more calls. I sold some $35 6/18 calls for a 200% profit. What strike price and date do you think offers the best upside?

I, for one, appreciate both of you. I am a novice at best and love the insights both of you guys provide on stocks. I don't know how to read technical analysis of stocks, so I couple the things you two say to form my opinion. I love the breakdowns and am very appreciative. I have made a lot of money thanks to you guys on this board.

I rolled 10 $30 2027s into my existing $35 2027s
Was up 125% on the 30s.
Now own 20 of the 2027 $35s
Created $1,750 on the roll to buy FCEL calls. We’ll see how that goes…
So, I like to stay near the money and give myself some room with expiry.
Look for low IV. Good luck with that!

I basically use BB88 as an unpaid financial advisor these days
I increasingly feel like the only way I'll ever be able to retire or start making significant money outside of my job is playing the market, and you guys have been great for helping with that. All of my current plays are in IRAs. I dont have a brokerage account. I need to start one to try and start actually making some usable money rather than just money I cant touch for 25 years

I am not as heavy into options as some others on here but try to pick some up when I see something that looks good. Bought back some $35 calls this morning and also got 1 $30 call on FCEL 10/16 for 7.90 this morning. OUST has been a good one for me.

It's a great way to make a shite load of money.
It's also an even better way to lose a shite load of money.
