I'd buy 4 or 5 .... but not yet...wait till the next big downturn and buy when its seems like there is NO hope.... I like MRK, GRMN, AFL, AA out of your list

COP has a good bit of NG exposure if im not mistaken...its probably got a good ways to go down still (believe it or not)

DEO

Strong brand names and healthy dividend.

Walked into a liquor store the other day and asked the owner how business was, expecting the obvious. His reply, "When times are good, business is good. When times are bad, business is good."

Doesn't GE have big time problems because of loans made by GE money?

I own garmin... I got in a few years ago at 42, it went up to about 130. I still believe it has long term value. I'm paying off some debt otherwise I would "double down" now.

On your choices I like GE and AA. If you want to gamble, try BoA, Citi and Ford. Distressed(at very low prices) companies that have a shot at surviving and propsering if you are willing to hold on for 3 years. I bought GE,BoA, Etrade, Ford, Cisco, Citi, and AIG at rediculus prices and have more than doubled my money so far. You might want to wait for several days of the market retreating and launch.

Enterprise Products(EPD)-$22.12

The only thing that has weathered the storm so far for me.
