XRP is somewhat controversial. It seems to have applicable use for banks, but it's not a classical decentralized blockchain, so many feel it goes against the philosophy of the technology.
I wouldn't say it's worth is gone given the recent drop. It's not a "shitcoin", so I think gains in the short term are still possible with a market rebound.

Not saying that. If you like it , did your research on it and like what its about by all means get some . I just didn't for a number of reasons but thats just me .

You only need to own 20 XRP coins to use the network. The coins are not used on the network. Once you have access to the network, it is open sourced so a company with the means can copy the source and create their own in house network based on the Ripple protocol

Ripple also fricks you by making a 20XRP reserve for a wallet . Just so know, if you have a wallet picked out make that your permanent wallet and plan on leaving 20 XRP behind if you ever sell. I first used ripex wallet then moved it to a ledger nano wallet - then sold . So , 40 XRP wasted .

Interesting. I'm not too familiar with it.
I bout some at 27 cents in December and sold in the mid 2s after I realized I needed to stop buying coins I didn't know anything about.
People definitely are still shilling it though.

We're doing pretty well so far- actually better than I anticipated. Not ready to sound "all clear" yet but I'm not frantically looking for hodl image macros to make myself feel better, either.
