Can you cash out on Gemini? I know you can go straight from ETH to your bank account on Coinbase, but I'm starting to worry that their fees are going to frick me hard.

There must have been some mass selling going on the caused this to drop. $215 could have been a lot people's magic number.

There was probably some pretty sizable sell orders @ 215 which caused the initial dip but the huge drop was panic sellers, which creates a snowball effect until buyers see an opportunity and create resistance which causes the price to stabilize.

Basically it's the same CB waiting period, but you can trade on it while you wait for it to clear. Also, you're locked into gemini until your deposit fully clears.
I've been on Gemini since tuesday, but my initial deposit hasn't fully cleared, so my ETH is stuck on Gemini until it clears in a day or two. I can sell the surge and buy dips, just can't transfer the actual assets off the exchange until after the deposit clears.

Once your deposit clears on Gemini and you're free to release, then you can transfer your BTC/ETH to Polo or to a wallet (I think, someone with more experience correct me if I'm off on any of this). So essentially, you're still a week or so away from being able to get on Polo. At least, that's been my experience thus far.

A good sign from all this is that while the volume on the dip was high, the volume on the rebound was even higher, showing that there is good strength and a lot of support.
