Though the amount of Tezzies
allocated is denominated in bitcoins,
contributions may be made in ethers,
that will be implicitely converted at
the prevailing rate on a best effort
basis. Contributions may also be
made through Bitcoin Suisse AG who
accepts fiat currencies and other
electronic tokens and will participate
in the fundraiser on behalf of its
customers.
The fundraiser will last for a period of
2,000 Bitcoin blocks. Throughout this
period, a contribution of one bitcoin
(1 XBT) will lead to an allocation of
five-thousand tezzies (5,000 XTZ) plus
a time dependent bonus. This bonus
is meant to incentivize contributors
not to delay their participation. The
bonus starts at 20%, meaning that
a contribution of 1 XBT will yield an
allocation of 5,000 X (1 + 20%) = 6,000
XTZ and decreases progressively to
0% over 5 periods lasting 400 Bitcoin
blocks each.

You may make some money in the ico excitement but Etherium is way ahead in the same market they are going after. So Tezos may peter out in a short time.

Plus they program in French.

I dont trust them. Although it appears the fear theyll eth dump on is and bring eth down is very real. Guess we will find out later tonight

Yep. I bought some ETC today for a buy and hold for a week or so. I thought it looked much healthier than ETH.

Nah that looks like an 80k unfilled buy order.

So a lot of orders went through at 10 cents, but things rebounded before the 80k remaining buy orders could be filled.

The article states this entire thing took 45 milliseconds.

It's the Wild West in the crypto markets.

And the thinner the market, the more volatility.
Alt coins to bitcoin ratios that starts with 4 or 5 zeros like .00000xxx to the bitcoins are the worst. Feast or famine when they move.

.00xxxxx an bigger are more stable.

Can any of this really be considered "long term".

Seems like one pump and dump after another.

What is the actual value determined by here? Pure speculation and HFT?

The only altcoins I'm long on are XRP and AntShares.

I threw $50 on Iota and Reddcoin but understand that's just a gamble.

I cashed out my original investment at 295. I may move my money back in if ETH goes under 215.

I get the thrill of it all, but is it any different that the other manipulated penny stocks out there?

What determines the value?
