I want to hold long term though. I'm just trying to decide if I should sell short term and hope to get back in lower, or just hold onto it because I feel confident in the long term potential. If it dips after I sell I could get more shares. Being in college I don't have enough income to keep buying more.

I don't see it dipping again just yet. I would take a previous poster's advice and keep a stop limit order in and adjust it as it moves up. Get an app like blockfolio and setup alerts to give you the heads up that there is a dip so that you don't miss a buying opportunity.

ETA: well that just shows you how much I know... here it is dipping again.

I think GDAX and Coinbase share the same hamster servers. It has nothing to do with transfer speeds and fees.

But I agree GDAX is better than Coinbase. It's just frustrating how high volume puts it in the shitter.

Didn't mean to imply those were linked. My point was gdax is better even if it and coinbase crash occasionally

Would GDAX be an upgrade even for people who don't trade like myself?

If you don't trade, leave your coins in Coinbase since it's FDIC.

The layout for GDAX is much better than CB. It shows you the order book and has a better price chart.

Is RSK supposed to be BTCs answer to the Ethereum network?

Eta I just finished reading this and saw something about rootstock in the comments

This guy gets it. Watch if you are new and worried

It is about the wild swings and what you should know about them. Makes you feel better at least.

I just think it's good because you can load it up with limit buy/sells and you're already approved since you're on Coinbase servers.

By the way I sold my initial investment Monday night and the cash was in my bank account Wednesday evening. So seems like transactions are better than CB.

I was under the impression GDAX is also FDIC insured.

Gdax is as well. I believe they're pretty much the same company except coinbase is made for newbies interface and trade option wise.
