I have basically been dollar cost averaging into lower BITX price points on the way down. It's a bloody falling knife right now but I imagine it will profitable just like it always has been. I've done this with even larger percent pullbacks in 2024, so this is nothing unusual for me. Bitcoin hasn't let me down yet. I am never fazed by blood in the water. People act like the sky is falling when Bitcoin pulls back or gets in a sustained downtrend. This is normal to me. I ignore everything but Bitcoin's current price just to see if I need to buy new BITX positions or sell existing ones for profit.
I'll sell BITX in reverse order of the buy orders as Bitcoin recovers and every single trade set will be profitable. If Bitcoin were to continue to drop from here, I just keep buying BITX like clockwork. I only do individual buy orders typically in 5% of my trading cash but I will use up to 10% of it if the drop is large enough before I can get a buy order in.

Pretty gross movement but nothing outside of normal bull corrections so far.
We may see a 100k test. It would make me sad but thems the breaks.

I think we’re still overbought on the weekly. We probably need some downwards action.
Posted on 8/29/25 at 12:42 pm to LordSaintly
Probably. These 10k swings “feel” like a lot but gotta remember it’s still in line percentage-wise.

I don't care if it's up or down, but...

Ehhhhhhhhh I'd like it to not do something downward!

I just meant temporarily. I think all of us in this thread agree it's up over time.

We probably range until the FOMC.

I’m anticipating flat until mid sept.
Holding 108k was bullish and that’s hopefully the floor for the short term unless something weird happens.

I’m not very knowledgeable regarding crypto.
I do like the idea of non-governmental currency.
Should I put 1% of my portfolio in FBTC, the Fidelity ETF.

I am not very knowledgeable either, regarding crypto. A friend convinced me to get into BTC and the etf route was a good fit for me. FBTC is my best performer this year, I got in on Apr. 24 at $81.16 basis. Up 23.95% as of this morning.
There are some very knowledgeable crypto folks in here. I hope you get the guidance you're looking for

Mid-September now and I keep reading about positive signs like resistance at $115k, FOMC tomorrow, and the very similar structure seen in June leading to the July breakout and ATH. Would love to see some good news this week!

Price action is odd today. It looked like IV was spiking this morning while the price was doing nothing. I got out of my covered calls on IBIT. Someone is moving some corn today.

Hoping for positive movement, but a brief “sell the news” type thing tomorrow wouldn’t surprise me.
118k is the resistance right now.

Feel like all I have heard the last couple of days/week is sell the news. Would be surprised if that happens with everyone talking about it. Could be a delayed sell the news

I sold an FBTC put today.
I invested the premium in CME.
Let’s see if I keep premium or get assigned.
I was thinking of buying about $10,000 in my Roth and never touch it.

If you’re ever looking for conviction, check out this site and look into the bitcoin power law in general. Bitcoin always interested me but it wasn’t until I found the power law that I jumped into the deep end. I like statistics and math though.

I have some ETH that I've been wanting to exchange for BTC for a while. We had a bit of a pullback in ETH/BTC yesterday. Anyone have any thoughts on if this is the peak of ETH/BTC for this cycle?

About when did you purchase that ether? and what kind of time horizon are you comfortable waiting for?
The ETH/BTC ratio has been in an uptrend for four month. Unless you think this is the peak of this cycle as a whole, I think the ratio has more room to run up.

Some of it I've owned for a long time. But I bought some more in Feb and July of this year. I just know there's a good chance BTC may take off in the next few months and wondering if I should move some of that ETH to BTC. I don't have a time horizon for cashing out BTC. Plan to hold it for a long time. I just want to rebalance and convert some of my ETH to BTC
