for me it wasn't emotional. i didn't want to unload holdings that had a larger tax basis and weren't looking as "volatile". needed some cash money and it was one of the victims.

reloading back in now. thinking of just going MSTR instead of actual crypto

GameStop announced a $1.3B convertible bond deal after the bell. They’re going full Saylor maxi right out of the gate. This is going to be interesting.

It’s wild. Actual companies (besides mstr) are putting bitcoin on the books.

I have no idea who is selling their bitcoin at these prices but they aren’t very smart.

I’m buying Jan 2027 calls tomorrow. GME’s market cap is $12B and I bet they have over $20B worth of bitcoin within 18 months.

Ehhh I would be looking more at the Dec 2025-Jan 2026 time frame for that but NFA

Yeah I’m not an active trader admittedly. What makes you look at that time period? If it makes any difference, I was thinking of buying $30 or $35 strikes. Nothing crazy out of the money.

Just my guesstimate of approximate btc peak. Jan 27 seems like a crypto winter type time frame, but this all assumes historical trends hold

Just to throw this out there, MSTR needs BTC to be in the upper 90's by end of the quarter, Monday, for a chance at S&P inclusion later this year. Some speculation that MSTR and GME could start buying over the weekend, less volume, to get it there. Could see some fireworks this weekend, maybe, maybe not

The bond buyers were shorting the stock to set a neutral position on the trade. Also they were probably shorting it prior to that to get their conversion price as low as possible. The stock will bounce back 5-10% immediately if I had to guess.

I believe that would be to qualify for S&P inclusion in June. They could be included in September if btc reaches the necessary level by the end of June.

I believe you need 2 profitable quarters consecutively to be eligible, there could be exceptions I am not aware of. Earliest possible date would be September

Hopefully tomorrow, lol.

Saylor bought like 25k BTC over the weekend and the price dropped…

a week where the Nasdaq doesn’t get dragged. We’re about as risk off as it gets right now. The environment will eventually change and we’ll move violently when it does but until then, stack cheaply.

IMO, it's the first real test of the crypto market in an economically uncertain time (discounting covid, which had money coming hot and fast off the presses). Cash is tight, and really only degens and traders are playing ball right now. Unless we get economic clarity, or the money printers turn on, then I think we crab or bleed for a while.

Just stack.

Reminder that ethereum is indeed a shitcoin. And continues to trend to zero vs bitcoin like every other single one. Down 50% just this year.
