Now we have $94K BTC

Contracts sold at $93,750 and I really don’t want to hold those overnight, but I will if I have to.

Again, strange position to be in. I want volatility to kick it down and I want to close my trade, but I also want $100K BTC, if not higher. $100K to me is just a marker.

IBIT Jan 55 calls bought at 4.70. Thats a $2.35 mil bet with break even 59.7 on Jan opex. These never hold to expiry but roughly 15% from here. One trade I've noticed with options starting to trade today

I got in and out of 12/20 $65 calls (way OTM) early. Haven't had a lot of time to look as I'm sweating short BTC contracts. The trade above looks like a decent bull play though.

Keep em coming. Appreciated.

And I’m out. Futures and options always end lower. I didn’t want to hold overnight because the overnight people sometimes see today’s high and drive the price overnight.

So I hit an intraday bull BTC play and an intraday bear BTC play. Equity options and futures contracts.

IMO, when they killed GPU mining it was the beginning of the end. I think they lost a lot of traffic/movement because of that. Am I am biased and salty I had to shut my money printers down, yes, but that is what I think.

There’s a lot more friction between 90-95 than there was between 75-90. I suspect the 100K wall everyone talks about actually gets pulled forward a bit and you feel it throughout the 90s. My guess is once we hit 97k or so we’ll be moving. Getting to that point might be more of a challenge than we thought.

Also means there is a bunch of potential opportunity swing trading between now and then, whenever then is.

ATH again. $94,400. Order book / market depth looks like this can run for a bit.

What are your thoughts on the $100,000 barrier? I see that as being very hard to cross.

All of the OG bitcoiners had that number as their sell price/lambo money.

You didn't ask me, but I also see it as a big barrier. I expect a pretty hard rejection the first time we bump it.

I'm going to attempt to sell BTC contracts at $96K. Not really sure about the technical analysis, just guessing as part of my volatility trading. I might be too aggressive, maybe I should sell now? The resistance and support move so quickly I'm pretty much selling futures on ATH's, and buying when it drops. Wash, rinse and repeat.

What are you seeing? Anyone?

I don't know. I see $100K as one marker. No idea how the price reacts as it gets close. Two different answers for me. Long term I'm a holder, and hopefully $100K is just a barrier, short term trades? Different answer.

I think it's likely that A LOT of people probably have that 100K number in their head as the "ok I'm going to take some profit and sell now" figure. How low do we think it might go once we hit that number, and how long do we think the recovery may last to get back above?

Not even just the OG holders. There are people who bought the top of the last bull run who were holding for $100,000. If they haven’t sold already, they’re also waiting for this number.

95-100K will be a battle.

3 hours ago came within $20 of 95k and waffled again

this massive selloff at 100k becomes a self fulfilling prophesy before then when everyone expects it

I could see us ranging here for a good while. Honestly, 3-4 months at this level to spread out some coins and shore up some support wouldn't be the worst thing.

I just wonder, like the poster above, what kind of plunge we are looking at once it first hits 100k

50-70 or nothing major at all, neither would surprise me

And hopefully some of our big sellers can reinvest and pump up some of the alts in the meme-time
