I'll address one of your points about "shady exchanges". Most exchanges (I think all now based on new regulations) are CFTC regulated, so the counter party risk is guaranteed by the exchange, not the counter party. The issue is pricing is high due to the volatility. It's been a challenge for me to try to find a viable exchange. I used to be on LedgerX, but that's dried up. I was never on an crypto option's exchange that didn't have counter party risk guaranteed, and I would never trade on a foreign based exchange, which I believe are illegal in the US, but still widely used by US consumers.

Regarding the cold wallets / hot wallet argument, most crypto exchanges show where and how they insure customer's crypto. Someplace way back I posted that. So I'm not an advocate of 100% cold wallet storage. Cold wallet storage has its own risk in any event. Potentially more risk for smaller holdings that hot wallets that are insured for theft, etc.

I'm not going to comment directly on your thesis as you've obviously started to research it. Much like the poster who posted his volatility trades and methodology, I'd ask you to post updates becuase what you are proposing might be of interest to me later on.

Updates on my election night trades. BITX long puts getting crushed, but long calls are mostly closed and incredibly profitable. The puts were basically a hedge. Physical holdings obviously doing great, but not adding until we see a significant pull back. Again, my cost basis on BTC is $22,000 which has been averaged up since the $1,000's, so very difficult for me to want to average up more. Even though long term this is probably the correct call.

Galaxy Digital

Currently trading under BRPHF. Very likely will get on the Nasdaq in Q1 with the shift in rhetoric from SEC/Trump

I currently have no open volatility trades as they were all closed after this significant run. I'm still looking for any pullbacks to start new volatility trades to open and close. But on the side, starting this coming week I am also planning to start averaging into a position in BITX (and not sell on recoveries) as I think we are heading into a good growth phase over the next several months. I'll probably sell some of my position after significant runs but my instincts tell me to maintain a position in BITX and not miss any potential quick parabolic runs or steady growth that I anticipate will happen between now and sometime this spring. Obviously there will be significant dips along the way and I look forward to capitalizing on those.

I occasionally feel this way about my giant bag of Kaspa. Been accumulating since .01-.02 two+ years ago and seems like such an obvious future top 5 project to me. But damn trading sideways for a solid year while it was announced Marathon was mining it and allegedly have smart contracts coming Q1 drives me a little nuts sometimes

Good morning boys. We are sniffing 80k.

I have to keep telling myself that this is Bitcoin and we can be at 40k or 120k in a month.

Woke up and checked the price and my goodness.

Brew, why is a weekend pump in a bear run a bad thing?

Whales will pump and dump on the weekends when volume is low. Volume is still pretty low so far today when compared to the rise earlier this week.

Per Raoul Pal who coined this terminology, it's possible we might finally be entering the "Banana Zone" phase in this cycle, where Bitcoin has massive gains. If not, it should be soon. Anytime between now and February at the latest

Just wait until the plans are formalized, acted on and/or Trump announces specific plans detailing how the Federal Reserve will soon begin growing Bitcoin as a reserve asset. Other countries will pile on doing the same. You know Senator Cynthia Lummis will push this forward after January 20th, but announcements before then could start the rocket engines ahead of time. Exciting times for sure.
