interesting.

If there are a lot of people who think like you do, the ETF is going to be bigger than I imagined.

The FTX guys would kill for this option right now.

Not your keys, NOT your coins.

Great. And until there's safe and easy onboarding of fiat with safe and secure 3rd party custodians there will never be the influx of money people think. Folks aren't ever going to be comfortable placing millions of dollars on a USB or keeping a seed phrase. 90% of people are crypto naive and aren't going to jump through hoops to buy this stuff.

Safety deposit boxes are rather cheap to rent and very secure.

I posted about Kaspa in another crypto thread a few weeks ago and got dv’d into oblivion lol and all it’s done is go up since then

DYOR. All im saying. This isn’t a shitcoin. It’s a POW project that was truly fair launched, mined, and spends nothing on listings or marketing. The is a future $100B project, easy

Ive been loading since the beginning of the year and continue to buy dips, which have been few and far between lately

Come on, Bama. You know whatever he says you are not going to entertain. You're a BTC maxi through and through. That's all fine and dandy that you're a maxi, but don't waste they guy's time to provide whatever facts when you're just going to shite on them regardless

I've said many times I want to gamble on some small cap stuff.

Just a short term trade though. The only guarentee in crypto is Bitcoin.

Everything else is just a gamble, which I am fine with doing.

Bitcoin is months away from the ETF. Blackrock will be shilling this to all their financial advisors and we will see this stabilize a 1%-5% of all investments.

After the ETF you will see companies like Apple hold it on their balance sheet.

Lastly, central banks.

It's just game theory at this point. Easiest trade of my generations lifetime.

If an ETF never materializes, I'll be revisiting my entire investment thesis around Bitcoin.

Do people run pyramid scheme style, bitcoin auto trading platforms?

I know a person on social media that rarely posted for about a year. Now all they do is post about their trading platform, mining, etc.. Showing screenshots of conversations where people are "wowed" at how much money it makes them overnight.

What's the schtick here?

That sounds really sketchy. I've seen similar stuff on twitter and I really have no idea what their end game is.

You intuition is probably right that they are doing something unethical.

If you can share a screenshot or a link I am sure we can figure it out.

As much as I want to, it is facebook, and I hate to fully out someone like that. It's just confusing. I think this person is a CEO/President of a company that specializes in medical debt collection. I don't think they're hurting for money.

Have you looked at the market lately? Everything has gone up in the last few weeks.

It was literally pick a shitcoin season and sit on your hands.

Buy your shite coins people. Just don't be the last bum holding them.

This was my thoughts as well, but the least I can do it copy/paste a pretty solid article I caught on Medium several months ago. Gets into the technical stuff pretty well

Kaspa blockDAG technology

In essence it’s a POW project that’s been in development for a decade that addresses BTCs scalability issues. Its founder/lead developer is a guy named Yonatan Sompolinsky a Harvard phd who is basically a god in the crypto world. He’s cited in the actual ethereum white paper

LinkedIn bio on Sompolinski

It currently has no L1 listings like CB, Kraken, Crypto.com, Binance. There’s been tons of rumors that Binance is quietly accumulating Kas for a listing in the near future but im really hoping its CB to fully open Kaspa up to US markets

It’s a total gem of a project that I’ve been DCAing since around February I think. The price surge you’re seeing today is largely due to Uphold uplisting it to a higher tier that allows you to send/receive off the platform whereas before you could only buy/sell there

Hope this is a start. At least to others interested, anyway. Personally I think it’s a lock for a top 5 spot, potentially top 3. This weeks run moves it up to 30th currently by MC

Oh and there’s an book on Kaspa for the true deep divers

The Book of Kaspa: Realizing the Nakamoto Dream

How do you buy it? Coinbase is discouraged and I don't know of another way. If I have to buy 4 coins and convert them to 3 other and save on a hard drive, I'm just not interested. I think a lot of people feel like that about crypto.

Coinbase is fine. Don't let these extremists discourage you from depositing and buying $20/week in crypto on Coinbase.

ATOM is finally trending in the right direction again.

And good timing too, since I finished unstaking about 3 weeks ago.

Cost basis was $11, but with the staking rewards over the last 2 years, I'm finally back in the green with this one. Or at least I was 20 minutes ago lol.

Here in the U.S. you currently have uphold. The fees are cheap and as of yesterday, like I was saying, you can now purchase there and send to an offline wallet. Or an online wallet like OneKey or the Kaspium wallet that the team developed. Ledger support is coming soon but personally im a big fan of Tangem. It’s a NFC enabled card you can tap to the back of your phone and view, send, receive Kaspa along with most major chains. No seed word necessary. And you can buy them in 2 & 3 packs so you can hide the cards in different locations

Personally, the way I’ve purchased all this year was through metamask using a dex called RocketX. Very easy and inexpensive to do. I’d just add Eth or BTC to my wallet, do the swap in the dex, and it gives you a destination input for wherever you want the Kaspa sent. Instead of buying a $28k KS1 miner earlier this year I just started sending chunks of Eth to my metamask, swapping and sending straight to my Tangem. No ragrets so far over that decision

I will say though I highly recommend letting the chart cool off some and picking your entry. Or formulating whatever DCA strategy makes sense for you. This week it’s been on a complete heater and seems due for a healthy correction

But that being said, I sold 250k last 7-8 days ago thinking we’d retrace to 065 level and I got completely lapped. So im not sure how valuable my advice on that is. There’s tons of catalysts in Kaspas future that I don’t know a certain timeline for. Like T1 listings, Ledger, and other developments. It’s block time keeps going ballistic as it grows and that’s seemed to be enough to keep it pumping much of the time

Anyway. Im done lol Not pimping the project here. I was asked, and this is what I know about what I’ve been buying. This is a very high conviction play for me but of course opinions will vary. Best of luck

I bookmarked this post a year ago and it certainly looks like things are holding true to form:

LINK

I'm so pumped for 2025. I just wish I wasn't such small potatoes and could afford to really throw a lot of money at BTC between now and then. Any little bit helps though I suppose
