Get the feeling we’re either about to correct or blow up past 40k. I’m inclined to think we correct unless, as someone said, insiders are buying before ETF approval.

I think after we have the official ETF approval we dump big time and then trend up from there

Conventional wisdom says that happens but honestly I dunno.

The thing to thats different about this is that the threat of a denial/delay dump is off the table once it’s approved. May not be a typical “sell the news” event.

Agreed, would be a classic "sell the news" dump and then steady grind upwards from capital flowing in

Isn't the halving cycle about to end? I figured more people are front running that than the ETF approval but of course it's probably both.

In April yeah, if you look back historically, there’s still dumps proximal to the halving.

We’ve just kind of run…and kept running. There has to be some sort of pullback and re-test of support.

One would think, but if you look at some historical charts, BTC can run hot for a couple months without ever coming back to test support. When it goes, it fricking goes.

This isn’t even a juicy pump.

yeah I don’t expect “pump without pull backs” until the pump.

But the market is acting a bit strange. Maybe the pull back from 30 to 25 earlier this year was the re test

Bought a few shares before close today. Options too rich for my blood.

There is a guy on twitter that just lost 25 Bitcoin.

They are still trying to figure out what happened but this is a good reminder for you guys to get your coins off exchanges, put them in cold wallets and be careful with your seedphrases.

Coinbase is pretty secure aslong as you use authenticator-based 2fa for everything.

It is, of course, better to hold your own keys but you could do worse.

Doesn’t do you any good if Coinbase collapses.

Did he lose it off an exchange or a hot wallet?

True but as they say, if Coinbase collapses, we’re all kinda boned

How many exchanges have been wiped out in the past 10 years?

Yep. It's so wild to me anyone would keep coins on an exchange.

My guess, is he just does not have a meaningful amount of money so it doesn't make sense to keep it safe.

Lastly, keeping coins of exchanges helps the prices as they can't swap around any paper coins

Or I have a meaningful amount of money and don’t want to risk losing seed phrases/cold storage device getting stolen
