Are you talking yield percentages? I don't know how that matters in this case, but if so, their latest rates that you posted are indeed close.

Gemini isnt close to the same in yield as the platforms that have crashed.
you just don't get it man. You are literally handing your keys to a centralized party. You don't own what you think you own. Good luck, but I think you should reconsider leaving your hard earned dollars on a cex.

I took mine off coinbase 2 months ago. If you don’t think Gemini is at risk along with every other cex I don’t know what to tell you. Contagion is a real risk when everything is going down as far and fast as crypto declined this year.

Hell every major bank was at risk in 2008. Not all had bad risk management. And the government ain’t swooping in to save Gemini or coinbase.

Unfortunately I don’t trust it in on a cold storage device sitting around either.

But does anyone recommend a good one?

Fair point. I bought a trezor about a year ago and didn't feel comfortable moving my stuff onto it. A few months back coinbase made some comments concerning ownership of the crypto, I don't remember exactly what they said, but it concerned me so I moved it to trezor.

I have my trezor and key codes stored in separate safe locations. Lose the trezor it's ok. Just make sure your codes are stored somewhere fireproof and safe. Never click on emails or answer phone calls from trezor customer service. Only deal directly with the trezor webpage.

I'm no pro. I only learned about this through this website. Maybe other people can chime in and let me know if I am wrong on this or should be doing anything else.

I am also not recommending trezor. It's just who I used after looking at my needs and comparing it to others.

Ledger and Trezor basically have the market cornered. Trezor is more open source from what I understand, but both are highly regarded.

Man I thought I was bad with money trapped on Voyager but I get updates of the debtors filed in the bankruptcy hearing and people file claims losing hundreds of thousands

You don't trust it or your don't trust yourself? Because don't trust it means you haven't taken the time to learn about cold storage. Don't trust yourself? I can somewhat understand that, but given what we have seen happen over the past couple month, everyone should be practicing to make themselves comfortable with cold storage

Anyone new reading this thread please do the opposite of this guy.

Get your money off centralized exchanges. Hold your own keys. Preferably a hardware wallet.

Yes, the yield is not worth it. Take it from someone who learned the hard way. Get them off of exchanges!

I trust DEX's over CEX's at this point.

When does yield get deposited on ftx? Waiting on that to move that out.

It boggles my mind that someone would trust some faceless, unproven, unregulated entity with this amount of money.

I think it’s dropping yield like real time. FTX never just dumps a deposit on you

If you go to sell your value should be higher than what you deposited

I currently have about 4% more in my wallet than what I deposited

No need to freak out.

I dont trust having that much money sitting around, not that I don't trust the device.

I wouldn't want to keep a shitload of cash in a safe either, but that's just me.

I guess ill need to look into it.
