well ... Coinbase is a different story because at the very least they are (gulp) regulated by SEC since publicly listed on stock exchange

Those unregulated folks are another story (Celsius) --- BUT -- they had just launched their credit card so there some jurisdiction there by major financial regulators and institutions (watch out for the CFPB here)

Are you moving to ledger or some other wallet? I plan on scooping up some more BTC over the next few weeks/months and trying to figure out where to store it. Are most people moving to ledger drives now?

I have multiple ledgers, and I strongly recommend them. I only buy them from ledger’s website or through ledger on Amazon.

Yeah once it loses 20k, the bottom will fall out of it. Bitcoin has never gone below its previous bull run high. (So 2017’s $20,000)

Which begs the question… can this be the low? Likely not. Previous cycle saw an 82% or so drawn down for the highs, which would put bitcoin in the 11-13k range.

Like i said in a diff thread, a prolonged recession and bitcoin is triple digits. It's the first thing people will sell if they need money.

there is a 0.00000001% chance bitcoin will ever get to triple digits.

Anyone kind enough to ELI5 on how I should be storing my crypto? I have been doing recurring purchases for a while now and I’ve just been leaving in Coinbase. Worried about screwing it up and sending my assets into nowhere.

Honestly Robin Hood is about as safe as you are going to find, and even they are guilty of shenanigans.

There will only be 21 million BTC to ever exist. That doesn't even allow 1 BTC per millionaire.

You may be being honest, but this is foolish and wrong. If your bitcoin is on a centralized exchange, you don't even own it. You probably can't even transfer bitcoin off of Robinhood to a wallet.

true

BUT

this is one of those "chart crimes" where people cherry pick some trend (long or short) that supports whatever narrative they need

Not that it isn't relative, but still --- search Twitter and you could find any chart and any trend to support any thesis you damn well please

RobinHood is a joke after the stunts they've pulled on people

I don't disagree with you, but when half the other options are two degrees of separation from the dark web I don't know what to tell you, lol. He asked for the safest.

Just because the nicest cobra in the snake pit is the nicest snake there doesn't mean I'm trying to convince you it's not a cobra.

If not putting it in a wallet I would say look at WeBull since they hold crypto as well. I can't say much as I have a decent amount on CB still for staking purposes
