it costs 0.0001 cents to use Solana it costs 0.01 cents to use BSC already cheap alternatives out there, just a lot of the defi moat is on eth for now
If we are just talking coin transfers, it also costs ~0.01 to use bitcoin via lightning. In this day, XRP really serves no benefit to what is already out there.

In addition, Ethereum network focuses heavily on decentralization. Retail forces may not care as much about the decentralization aspect (particularly during a bull market), but institutions and whales certainly do. When moving that kind of money, reliability and security >>>>>>>>>>> $200 gas cost.
If the task is to move large amounts of money securely, there is literally zero reason to use anything other than Bitcoin right now. Nothing more decentralized or secure with relatively low fees compared to ETH.

Pretty much my thought. My only use for Eth/BNB/SOL etc is defi.

This is true, but there's not much in the way of defi activity on Bitcoin network. Whales and institutions want to use those tools as well.

i wouldnt be surprised if flare/songbird became a big deal

Good point. It does seem big money trusts ETH decentralization and security above other platforms (excluding btc) and that is not w/o good reason. And I get the point others have mentioned about rising SOL, AVAX, DOT, etc. is in fact the market punishing ETH.

Everyone buying in on cartoon coins the last few weeks, so glad I saw the best advice I've seen/taken as a lurker in here yet. Gratzi HeadyMurph. Wish I had bigger stones when I read the mention and did the research

Been waiting for a pullback under $2 for SAND all day. Didn’t pull the trigger when it hit $2 on the nose and of course it jumps up to $2.60.

…Now up to $3.20 fml

Gonna have to figure out how taxes work if/when I pull the plug
Loving it long term though at the same time so probably won’t touch it.

Yeas very bullish on DOT, ready to deploy my DOt to parachains

ADA has not failed imo, expected pullback and consolidation and got it.

Eth fees suck right now but all layer 2 10k is inevitable

I think .60-1.00 is realistic in the short term. Some think getting back to its previous high of $5 is possible long term. Proceed at your own risk.
