I never said we'd pay top dollar.

The Steinbrenners would be so intimidated by the Lambo mafia.

I come in peace -

Can someone explain the value of a currency that moves up/down 10% in a day?

At the moment it is moving up a lot more than down, so there is that. Also in countries where the currency isn't stable (Venezuela) it provides more stability than what they get otherwise.

Moving up 10% in a day isn't good for a currency either. Who is going to use it as an actual currency - the place from which the value is derived - when it's gaining 10%?

It's an interesting story, and I can't knock those who have made a fortune, but these valuations are insane.

It's helped me to think of it as a digital commodity, not a currency.

I'm about one day from having etherium in my wallet (Coinbase is frustrating). Made my buy and sell decision so far really easy.

The entire market cap is $100B. You've gotta reach a market cap in the 10s of trillions before you get stability of an everyday currency.

$100B is dust in the real world. There's a greater than zero probability that a distributed ledger technology ends up being the world reserve currency. You can debate it all you want, but the chance is not zero. This is speculation on what the future will look like.
