The Chainlink 2.0 Whitepaper introduces the concept of super-linear staking, a key advancement in staking mechanism design. Super-linear staking requires an attacker to have resources greater—specifically for Chainlink, quadratically greater—than the combined security deposits of all DON nodes in order to succeed. Through a unique concentrated alerter system and a two-tier adjudication system, DONs provide greater cryptoeconomic security guarantees that overcome powerful adversaries that other systems do not protect against.

Geez is LINK going to hit 50 this week? Starting to like it’s odds of hitting 100 this year. It’s been quiet for too long.

I have a lot of link and like the technology potential for it. But my FUD kicks in and tells me the best technology/ products aren't necessarily the ones that will have the most valuable tokens. Just curious about your thoughts on that.

that's my main hesitation with oracle coins. it's not that I don't see the purpose and necessity of them but the valuations behind the technology seem absurd when it can be cloned

The technology can be cloned but the ecosystem can not. Chainlink has built the ecosystem

then can someone explain why ADA uses Wolfram alpha (not a crypto) for their oracle?

is that just a marketing gimmick?

If the technology can be cloned, then dapps can be built with built-in oracle functionality... I think that is the point.

I like to think of it like this. ETH doesnt need Link to survive. Right now, Link doesnt exist without ETH.

My understanding is they teamed up with Wolfram to have this functionality be native to the ecosystem.

From IOHK.

interesting read

I'm honestly surprised that wolfram hasn't cashed on the chance to make a token. seems like an easy cash grab

I think IOHK is 100% paying them big bucks. They have a sizable fund.

We will just have to wait and see.
