I still have ICX stuck on binance. Wanted to swap for btc but didn't want to have to sign up for another exchange.

you might as well stake it, 21% on binance or 13% on iconfi app. I can't access binance in Louisiana so I use iconfi app. it's been a good 30 days for the coin

not sure if there is a crypto leader in the NFT market, ive been flipping the actual NFTs, not really paying attention to the background layer

Whole crypto market is going crazy today as BTC is flirting with 50k. Crossed above 50k twice today and as soon as it does there are massive selloffs and it drops almost instantly down below 49. And all the other coins are along for the ride, lol.

wait until everyone realizes that interest on bitcoin/crypto will be the new retirement.

So I have just been holding shite since 2016-2017 basically. how you getting interest on holding crypto? do they pay out in $ or btc? Ive held some NEO to generate GAS but interest in other coins is preferable

I use blockfi, they pay you interest in the same currency as your deposit so btc for btc etc. Right now they pay like 6% for btc but it changes without notice.
I have like a third of my btc there, try to keep it spread out in case something blows up

The rates on BlockFi are insane
I’m not sure I completely understand how their business model works. They loan out crypto currency as high rates to people that wouldn’t otherwise qualify for a loan?
Are they cryptocurrency loan sharks?

there are few lenders which each offer a variety of different rates. some pay in compound interest with the coin (btc eth, etc). you can also earn 10-12% with stable coins

basically, they are capturing the spread between spot and futures price
example:
BTC current = $49,000
BTC may 2021 futures = $51,000
which would give an annualized "risk free" return = ~21%
