Using VPN? I don't think it allows U.S.

They are pretty big though. Top 10 in volume.

Update on DNA / Encrypgen in case anyone cares.

The exchange listing was delayed due to Coinmetro not being able to properly add ERC20 tokens using older standards (the DNA token was created in 2017). This has forced encrypgen to do a swap to update the token. The swap will occur automatically if your tokens are in an ethereum wallet or manually if your tokens are in an exchange or stuck in an unsupported wallet. The swap and listing are expected to occur as soon as Friday or this weekend.

Some recent press that Encrypgen has received:

This shite has been fluctuating between $19 and $30 today, pretty crazy because it's been pretty stagnant at $20 the past week. I need to get my gtx 1080 swapped out since it's got shitty memory revision for mining (currently not mining it, but it would be adding $3-5/day)

How many rigs do you have and what was the cost to put something like that together?

Just my gaming PC with a 3070 (mines from like 10pm-6pm) and my mining rig that has a 2080, 2070, and 3 quadro P2200 mining 24/7

It would be pretty expensive to get in right now, but all the parts outside of the $100 PSU in the mining rig and $400 2070 I bought last week have been carried over from my previous PCs

Edit: it would be tough to make it profitable right now if you didn't already have most of the parts. You'd be looking at probably 6 months ROI

This is my view on mining and why I just purchased more cards.

I firmly believe BTC will continue to rise over the next 6 months. SO anything that would have an ROI of 6 months today is likely shorted as BTC continues to gain. On top of that, with the way PC parts pricing is going, if it goes south, you still have valuable parts you can sell. Outside of mining, gamers are still looking for these cards. They are also used for design, rendering, AI, machine learning etc.

Honestly, worst case scenario IMO is you break even. Mining seems totally worth it right now IMO.

If you do something on a small scale like, over build a gaming PC with say an extra card or two, there is value in that.

Mining can easily pay for your gaming rig or just sit there and make money.

I am sure I could just google how to mine bitcoin and find a tutorial. Is there anything out there that you or barracuda are aware of that you all used as a guide for setting up your rigs from hardware to software?

That's until ETH 2.0 comes out and we have no coin to mine. Sure, there's the "there's always a coin to mine" crowd out there, but if it's not profitable, there's no point.

My understanding is that mining bitcoin for a new investor is not really a good idea. There is only a finite number of bitcoin and the closer it gets to reaching the last code to be mined the harder it is to obtain. I don't think just any old joe like me and you could start mining BTC with our gaming rig at this point in the game.

You need serious hardware and money to start mining BTC.

ALT coins on the other hand like DOGE and others are probably easy to mine and can make you a couple bucks a month. I THINK. Don't quote me on any of this. I did some research back in 2017 when BTC exploded which is where i got all of these opinions from
