I have some disposable income I can invest with and am interested in this company.

Whats the boards opinion? Too high at this point? The price seems to be based on potential on not current profit so maybe it's way too overpriced?

FWIW, I'm considering getting about a 12k position in the stock.

It's outwardly expensive, but also had a 50% positive earnings miss on already-massive earnings recently. This is almost unheard of. I could easily see it going higher.

This is completely meaningless without context around your greater portfolio.

If 12k isn’t overly materially to you, go for it.

However, if you are just starting out it in investing may be good to have a base of index funds to give you some diversity.

Many of my individual stock investments have done worse than market index funds.

All the analysts have upgraded the stock to anywhere between 1200-1400.

Jensen said there will probably be a stock split but they haven't gone thru the proper channels to do it just yet

I would assume the stock would split if it keeps growing.

I bought in when I thought I was late to the party, and I doubled the return. It seems to me that the best is yet to come and they will remain stable and valuable like a Microsoft or Apple.

In twelve months, I will wish I had had more money to have bought more at $900.

Means nothing to value; just a psychological deal to make the stock seem cheaper.

Look, Nvidia is doing shite in AI that no one else is, but they are priced for perfection for years to come. The first crack is going to cause a stock price crater.

Anyway, stonks only go up

Agree with this.

I am long on it. It will outperform the market even at current price. The fundamentals are rock solid. This company makes $10B profit on $20B of revenue. The PE is good compared to many other darling stocks.

But don't know much about OP's situation for specific recommendation.

I was wondering the same thing 2 weeks ago when it was around 850. I doubled my position and have already made over 7% in those 2 weeks. I say do it, all the other chip makers are just so far behind. Intel is years away from joining the party
