I’ll come along for the ride with my current position but the high end of your range would put it worth more than Microsoft and Berkshire Hathaway combined.

We’re talking about being worth more than the current largest and 7th largest company in the US.

I am with you, but AI growth is unreal and charting new waters.

Look I’m happy with the growth but man these numbers start to get insane.

Very true. One big enough anti-AI story and it goes poof.

Would need to be substantial, but the AI legs are not firm and could be knocked out.

I have resisted getting in on it, so yall are safe...it should continue to blossom. If I break down and buy a dozen shares, I will PSA it.

AMD has been outperforming percentage wise with a chipset that has better performance in AI than NVDAs current product line.

agree...they're on a tear and a lot of folks view them as a cheaper AI play than NVDA...both are great long term however

it'll be interesting to see if AMD keeps going parabolic after earnings

AMD valuation makes basically no sense. It’s trading at 50-70% higher forward PE than NVDA at this point.

It’s expensive by every metric imaginable but people are piling in because it’s relative performance to NVDA had been so poor for most of 2023.

Cheaper how? Which folks view AMd as cheaper. Other than you, I have never heard anyone suggest that AMD is cheaper than NVDA by any metric. Barton’s just had an article questioning why AMD is more expensive than NVDA when NVFmDA has virtually 100% of AI GPU. Their current P/E is 1485 x. They’re trading at 47x forward.. NVDA is trading at 80x current and 30x forward earnings.

Yeah I figured this was your point, which is probably accurate, yet terrifying. Buying a stock because the absolute price per share is lower than the price of another company is one of the most uneducated reasons you could possibly use to justify a purchase. I’m not calling out you, just the people that do this kind of thing.

I saw that tweet yesterday. It’s true but NVDA’s move has nothing to do with their minuscule US government deal. Her husband has always been heavily invested in tech, including NVDA.

We all hate Pelosi, but these unusual whale tweets are just red meat to people that won’t read anything more than a headline.

Yeah that’s usually the case for X.

That said.. it’s wild that Congress is able to take leveraged bets with all of the conflicts of interest at their feet.

sorry but AI is not a fad that we're waiting to see if it takes hold, can hold on and take off...it's as inevitable as PCs, the internet, and mobile devices were

Ah. I see. That is a strange, but true phenomenon. Probably has some investors thinking more shares and it will tun up to NVDA prices.
