if that was the case why do a lot of companies miss estimates? I'm sure this happens from time to time depending on the analyst, comnpany etc. but overall no

I miss seeing you in the options thread. So did you do any option plays on NVDA? I sold some low delta naked puts and also sold a couple of low delta strangles. All for 8/30. The IV was too juicy to pass up.

Down this morning as well, but it will go higher through the year. New chip is going to be a cash cow, and post election 2025 is going to revert to AI is our overlord.

NVDA has really pulled back in the last hour, down from $121 to $117.

It was already down about $3/share on the day but now it's off by almost $7/share (-6.5%) as I type this.

I think at this point in the day you are probably getting some forced liquidation.

Idk, I genuinely wasn’t sure. Seems like the “big” earnings results beat more often than not.

I have no problem staying long in a company that can report these numbers for revenue and earnings. The numbers are crazy impressive. The numbers I saw were $30B revenue and $16B income. Just crazy good numbers. Not selling my shares.

The delays with their new chip is part of the stock price drop. The next few quarters will be thru the roof even more once they roll out the new Blackwell chip. New chip should roll out soon.

Obviously the risk with only 4 or so companies making up over 60% of their revenue is going to weigh on the stock price. If only one of them decides to scale back, then it is a very significant hit to earnings.
