Well no offense but you sound pretty ignorant taking probably the best data seen in a biotech in the last 24 months and calling it bogus, I don't know one scientist who hasn't heard of bluebird, their gene editing platform might be the future much like CRISPR and you're over here lost in the headlights saying in what world is SCD cured in 12 months......its pretty much cured right now, we're just waiting for updates this dec.

The largest orphan indication out there, close to being cured, and you're saying its not happening?

Like I said I'm here for a good discussion, not snarky comment by a guy who said he's a molecular biology guy but isn't invested in bioland.

man, i was interested in your thoughts, but you are pretty overwhelming. it's almost too much info, lol. just chillax, no one literally called you a pumper, just that the info you provided came off that way.

The MTb can use some well informed individuals like yourself. don't let a few trolls bother you.

You're still in ACAD?

Pretty sure we both got in that train at the same time, I got out after that big spike in March.

They're not trolls, they're guys trying to act like they know what they're talking about when they don't. I don't need to chill down, more people need to not comment in a thread not made for them, I invited biotech guys in here, I didn't need amateur hour chiming in with their thoughts, that includes you mr castorinho. Im a no nonsense kinda guy, you don't like it, you don't have to enter my thread, you wanna discuss science and biotech, and make money Im all ears and a wealth of information you could really utilize.

thanks donrandomnumbers, you're a cool guy, I answered your positions to the best of my knowledge on the first page, if you have any other questions I'm here

I don't think your personality and anonymous Internet forums are a good match. What's the scientific term for thin skin?

korkstand you're honestly one of my favorite posters on here, like i said I've lurked forever but never really cared to make an account never saw any threads i wanted to dive into, but i know you're always on the innovative stuff like TSLA and AMZN and are PE ratio averse lol, thats such a silly metric to follow in this day in age.

Anyways glad you entered my thread, i always liked your insights as to innovation

real talk whats up with the SPY today and my bios???? LOL

Man, I read all this. Normally just lurk. You came in super hot. Slow down, let people take in your information and relax. This is supposed to be fun too. I feel like you're about to explode over there. Give it time for others to come and see this that share your feelings (they are strong).

Quite a development this thread became

Word of advice- its good to be passionate, but tone it back a bit for the forum.

WTF does it mean that I came in hot? I simply introduced myself, mentioned a few names I liked and was seeking other members interested in science and if they liked my names all the better. A few guys posted names they were in, and I posted detailed explanations of what I did and didn't like

If you wanted I could have just said MNKD is junk and ESPR is meh, but I went into detail on what I did and didn't like about the names

So now too much information is "coming in hot"

ok.......I got heated bc all these posters who are whining are nothing more than trolls, they're not bio guys, they're contributing nothing but nonsense, and I just don't wanna waste my time discussing nonsense with them

ps: almost all the names i mentioned yesterday are ripping today into this red market day....still wanna say i know nothing?

I can tell you're one of the smarter guys on this board. I think you should keep posting your thoughts. Ignore the trolls.

It's not that I'm "on" them so much as I just try to give my input in trying to explain why these companies are so highly valued despite having no earnings to speak of.

I do tend to ignore PE in most cases, but when it comes down to it, there are really only two important numbers: the price you are paying, and the earnings that are being generated (or are expected to be generated). So I understand why it's still referred to so often, but I also understand that in some cases the best way to end up with a really big E is to spend a lot of years "losing" money.

Well, I don't know how insightful I am in that regard, but if you like my insight, maybe you should listen to what I'm about to say.

You are getting a lot of advice in this thread, mostly along the lines of "tone it down a bit". Take that advice. Your enthusiasm jumps off the screen, and while enthusiasm is great, it can get tiring for the reader. You will get better responses if you take it a little easier. Cast a line and wait for a bite, rather than diving in the water and trying to scare the fish into jumping in the boat.

People are also telling you that you come across like a pumper. Honestly, it's true. Now, obviously, you aren't here to pump and dump, that would be silly and pointless on this site. But you still come across as if you are. You keep saying that you just want to discuss biotech with other LSU fans, but then you follow it up with a couple of paragraphs that look like Cramer's teleprompter.

Also, I know that you are a self-proclaimed no-nonsense kinda guy, but this is the internet. Nonsense abounds, and you just have to roll with it. Pointing it out doesn't help, and it usually hurts.

Other than that, I don't really have much to contribute to this thread. While I don't necessarily have to see earnings to like a stock, I do like to see consistent revenue (and revenue growth), so early stage biotech isn't my thing.

OMG i feel insulted that my insights just got compared to cramers teleprompter, alright thats my cue to bail best of luck fellas, I'm enthusiastic bc I love the field, I worked on orphan drugs my entire career, last company I worked for was acquired and Im currently retired and just trading for a living. I get offended when people disprect science and call it a bubble or whatnot and molecular biologists or so they claim to be pop in here and have no idea what is going on in the space, just bugs me.

I get it, I have more passion than any of you have in the field, guess this isn't the place for me to post about this stuff, I do have my own circle I chat with, I was just seeing if there were any LSU football fans with my shared interests so i made this thread, clearly haven't found any yet and I've found a bunch of people who could care less about my insights so I guess thats my cue to bounce, best of luck fellas

its ok I won't come back, but do me a favor and stop lying on the internet about a molecular biology degree when you clearly have little to no insight on some of the hottest spaces in the science world....

keep tabs on the names i posted and buy them, you can thank me in the future.

I wasn't trying to insult you. I was just being straight with you. I thought you might appreciate it.

But you've insulted quite a few others in this thread. I forgot to mention keep it civil in my prior post.
