I am looking to pull the trigger but want to make sure I make the right decision. I only plan on having it 4 or 5 years and then getting a new vehicle.

I decided to buy over leasing it

I really love the XC60 look but its seems like the highlander gives you more bang for your buck in every other category. Better resale value.

If I went highlander, they have many 2016 highlanders that are certified used under 8000 miles so that is an option. However the price difference between that and a new one is about 3000. Is that worth getting a used one over a new one?

Also, what are some tips when buying from a dealership as far as getting a good deal.

I have a credit score above 800 but below 850

Also, what is the ballpark range of getting the final price reduced to if the car is $41,000?

As far as tips for buying new, go to Texas. Depending on the trim level you want, you can get several thousand off and not have to play the stupid games with the dealers in BR (looking at you Price Leblanc).

What about Highlander vs Pilot Coach?

On another note for the person that said to buy in Texas, how does tax, title and license work when you buy it out of state?

I would go highlander if you plan to keep it awhile and need the third seat. XC60 only has 2 seats right?

Im all in on the Pilot, obviously.

I'd put the Highlander in 2nd though.

They handle all of that for you in my experience. You just need to tell them where you're registering the vehicle and they will apply the appropriate taxes, etc. One thing to keep in mind is that rebates vary by location. I have been able to get the advertised rebates for the purchases I've made out of state, but just double check.

They just simply use LA figures in the deal.

Literally choose between the same two vehicles 6 months ago. We went with the Highlander because we got way more options for our money and had the third row seating for when needed.

If money were no object, though, we would have gotten the new xc90. That thing is glorious.

Yes. We do invoice pricing and go up from there, rather than msrp and play the game to go down. Plus we have multiple 2015-2016 CPO Highlanders
