I spent some time last night trying to figure out what I was going to do. I am heavy in NBIS shares, but sold some to buy more calls. I have about 260 contracts and am green on 240 of them (I have one 3/20 165c that I overpaid for 3 weeks ago).
I couldn't figure out if I wanted to buy more calls or not. I decided to watch the premarket and make a decision. Then I decided to keep my powder dry and watch what happens afterwards. I'll be damned if I know what to do. Sometimes the best thing to do is stay pat...

If trade talks go well with Xi on Thursday, do we think everything takes off Friday?
I'm tempted to buy a 3DTE 130c if we dip some today.

The volume seems to be pretty high this morning. I thought today might be a day when people kept their powder dry while waiting for more earnings news.

I have 240 of them and holding through Fed announcement, unless I feel a daily drop coming, in which case I will day trade them

I don’t think it’s high compared to what we’ve seen recently in the first 45 mins of trading.
But as I mentioned, I really think there was an attack planned on the sector for today and the news ruined it for them, but they are still trying. If they get out of the way, we will pop. If they keep at it, we could be down $1-2 today
Like, even when up a dollar right now, some mid 11/21 are still red. Very interesting. Makes me think they are at a good price right now…those 11/21 $145 look like a really really good deal right now IMO

I was basing it on a volume of about 3 million (after factoring in pre-market) 30 minutes in. That equates to well over the 17 million avg.
It's slowed down considerably. That could have been the attack you referenced. If that is the case, I reckon they are disappointed with the results...

I don’t think they are done. They will likely attack this for most of the day or until someone/investors turn it up significantly. Again, just my opinion and how I’m thinking about my plays today

I think it’s just overall anxiety that the AI market is overpriced. You can’t look at anything financially related without talk of “bubbles” and valuations. This is bringing out the shorters trying to position for a downturn.

It probably is. But my retort to these people is where else should I park my money and get anywhere near the returns on my balance sheet that I am seeing?
Just stop loss yourself if you think there is a big correction in the future.
shite is not hard

Looking around the sector right now and feeling better. Not sure it’s done being attack, but certainly feels that way. Watch out boys!!! I think we will have a surge this afternoon.

This stock has consistently popped and dropped before lunch…then grinds up in the afternoon.

I have cnbc on 24/7 as background (until 8 hours of shark tank - hate that show now), but yeah they are trying so hard to push the AI bubble but doing it in an irresponsible way as a generic AI bubble as opposed to specifics.
Bottom line, yes some Ai software companies will fail; there will be winners and users. But to get to the winner and loser space all will have to shoot their shot and consume massive amount of compute. That will happen regardless of who wins and loses. That is the bottleneck (we can debate micro aspect within the datacenter structure of the exact bottleneck) but what is clear is we do not have a data center/infrastructure bubble - we have a shortage.

I don't see how that helps NBIS, other than it's an AI investment in a generic sense.

Just talking about how they designed the new chip concept and now the futuristic ways it can make AI and robotics possible. Nothing big.
I mentioned it earlier, I think people were trying to once again short the sector and it failed, so has a lot of upward pressure IMO.
