Question for those more experienced than I am. I have a 11/21 150 and 155 bought a few weeks ago, that I am down around 42% after today. Bought a couple 11/21 125's when it was sitting around 100 last week that are up about 120%. Should I either sell or roll the ones I am down on another pop or wait till closer to earnings? I am still way ahead on my calls and have enjoyed following this board.

Can’t answer that for you. I am not down near as much on either those calls, but I am planning to hold my 11/21s through earnings. With the $125’s, it’s up to you, but for me I might sit on those if I’m down the higher strikes. Those will still rise comfortably if the stock continues to rise into earnings. Then you can make a decision once into next week

Apparently, I haven't botched it!

Up ~15,000 when compared to the close on 2 October

Is there a difference when getting out of a position regarding closing to sell an buying a different strike and rolling into another strike.

Rolling is now become synonymous with moving from one option to another in a single move. Historically, you "rolled" your option losses to a future date with higher strike. I just call it trading options Rolling is now becoming more used when you simply do both actions in one regardless of the reason when you change your current position with either your strike, expiration date or both.

Think of "rolling" as "moving" now

That’s just a manual way of doing it.
I do it when I can’t seem to get a fill.
Problem is, that bitch can shoot up on you! A bad feeling.

I think I will try to sell on an up day and try to buy on a dip from my sell.

There’s an opportunity like this on most days! You should be ok.

So people planning to play the earnings with options, start thinking about them today.

I began de leveraging today and converted some of my 11/7 calls into 350 shares.

I will continue to do the same with higher moves.

Will probably go with an insane pre earnings CC of $155 or 160 for 11/7.
If I can close those I’ll be looking for $175 or so for 11/14.

I’m definitely going to have some calls for earnings, just not sure they will be earlier than 12/19s.

Currently holding:

IT, do you see these doubling?
$6,600 for 10 of the $175s would be hard to pass up.

That’s what I meant to say in my other post. I’m going to hold my 1/16s but if the stock goes up significantly into earnings I’m going to sell my 11/21’s and use that money to buy some calls further out.

If we trade sideways for the next week I may just hold on to the 11/21s and see what happens.

If CRWV can do this (I don’t know) why would it not be them given the ownership stake NVDA already has? I hope you’re right though.

So, you are not a believer of the earnings and the call announcements???

I’ve called $175 post earnings and anywhere between that and $200 to end the year. They could certainly go up between now and then, but with the premiums difference and risk, not sure why I would decide to be that far out the money. Again, premiums around earnings calls go up as you get further from the current price. Seems expensive to me, both the $170s and $175s. Better value below them.
I personally am focusing on the 11/21 150 range and 12/19 140 for my earnings.

That could all change depending on this week…might shift them up a bit, but I’m not selling or deleveraging with these earnings

You are incorrect… she began coiling because I switched from beer to bourbon.

I will continue to coil her as long as humanly possible!

Tomorrow, we will uncoil her with a fresh diet of barley and hops.

We’re drinking her to the moon!

This will be a big player in the market and coUld be an exIsting PArTner in tHe space
