What kind of impact do we think a looming gov't shutdown will have on the market overall?

Im counting on some pain, market overall has an excuse to pull back and will take advantage. Barring any fantastic news i wouldnt be shocked to see 109-104 again. But definitely dont believe it enough to sell any NBiS.

I sold my calls this morning when we hit about 115.70. I'm tempted to jump back in, but I could see a pull back/buying opportunity IF the shut down occurs. That's what's keeping me from buying more calls with this sub-$112 price right now.

Seems like these politicians always pull some crap at the 11th hour. To which the market may shoot up for no real reason.

Think I'm going to play it safe and see where we're at tomorrow morning. Certainly not selling any shares. I'm holding onto those for the long haul.

Given the huge electrical grid demands, I wonder what opportunities there are in the energy sector

The talk on CRWV and NBIS is just comical here until Stock Talk jumps in.
I see I’m going to have to look for the recording later…
These guys talk stocks literally every day for two hours after watching the markets all day long.
90% of them have no clue about NBIS.

Nope. Not familiar with them at all. I am vaguely familiar with YTsaurus and definitely some other tools built on top of it.

I’ll do some digging

Today, on a drop, the play would be rolling up and in.
This will produce a credit to buy more options or stock.

I haven't done this enough. I have 60 10/31 calls (115 and 120).

Should the strategy be to roll them on the dip? My new options will be cheaper, but so will the old ones.

How much difference does it make?

They have not announced an earnings date yet. It’s believed to be somewhere between 10/25 - 11/06
