I'm a CE and starting to think that the only way to make good money as a CE is to go the energy route or to work for yourself. I'm having trouble getting responses from service companies for field engineering positions.

I would love to get into that kind of work, but I'm in Construction Management so despite my classes in PETE, I know I'm really not qualified.

My brother works at Exxon and started around 80ish I believe and moved into a management role. Now makes a lot more. I would recommend it
