I haven’t received my grade on my last homework but assuming I get a 25 then I need 23/30 to keep an A.

What group where you in? Your coach must be pretty fast or just trying to get all the work out. I can only imagine how overwhelmed they are, hence, one of the reasons I didn't go above and beyond like I did in part 1 of the project. Pretty tight timelines for them to have part 2 and forum graded for each group.

I'm wondering how similar the practice exam is to the actual final exam. The practice exam seemed too easy in comparison to some of the assessments (aka Module 4).

The practice exam gives you an idea of the types of questions on the final and how they are structured. The final exam adds curveballs and has considerably more difficult scenarios. Read every question extremely carefully.

If it gives you any indication, I aced the practice exam on my first run-through. I did not do nearly as well on the actual final exam.

Group H / Dr. Winter. He asked us to email him when our projects were done and ready for grading, so I think he got a head start on it.

I feel sorry for the coaches. You couldn't pay me to want to correct this stuff. I tried to go right down the template and make it easy to check the box for the grading rubric.

Great feedback, thank you. The practice final is way easy and assumed it was not representative.

That is what is so insane to me. We spend the entire class writing papers and forum posts with a few Excel exercises and this exam is worth a 3rd of our entire grade. I'm not that stressed about it considering it's open book and we have 90 minutes to take it, but it's just a bizarre course design decision.

Yes, 710.

I'm hoping someone takes this thing before I do to provide some generalized feedback.

I've been focusing on MADM this week so far, so I haven't even started to review the text for ISDS

I haven’t started reviewing the material either (710). I am curious if we have can have the readings / articles available also.

Finishing up MADM 701 with Kungu. Pretty easy class. Counting on an A. Read, write, take exam.
Pretty straightforward. Compared to 760 with Meeks it is certainly less enlightening but I still learned a good bit.

Yep. Who knows whether they'll redesign it but this class has been pretty easy overall (save for the unknown final exam). The worst part was probably the first 2 weeks because you have a decent amount of reading and all 3 types of assignments: a 3 - 5 page paper, a forum post and responses, and some Excel work. Once you get through that, the class is pretty light and straight forward.

I'm hoping to finish the study guide tonight so I can take the exam tomorrow, but we'll see how I feel. I might put it off and take it Friday or Saturday instead, though I can only see myself doing that if someone gets on here and says it was really difficult.

Well just took the ACCT 701 final with McGee and literally one point away from getting a B. I'm beyond disappointed right now. Worked my butt off this semester and was one test question away from a B. Now that I've got a C I'm going to have to pay back my employer's tuition assistance. This is horrible. I am absolutely disgusted with this class and disappointed in myself. What a disaster...

Man, sorry to hear that. I've been super frustrated with this class as well.

Any advice to us folks how have yet to take this monstrosity? You're opinion on difficulty?

It didn't seem that bad to me. Going back through I thought I only missed two and somehow ended up missing more. Like usual I have no idea what it was I messed up on and thus no idea how to fix it. Good luck, be glad there is 2 hours because I used almost all of it. Other than that I honestly can't say.

Although she has stated there's be no grade adjustments or extra credit opportunities. I'm hoping that she'll change her mind at the amount of requests I'm sure she's about to get.

I would not be surprised to see many people lose 1-2 letter grades on this exam. I went in confident and feeling well prepared, came out of the exam swearing like a sailor.

Some spots opened up for Summer AP2 and was able to pick up Lin and Shaughnessy for ISDS 705 and ECON 705 respectively, so I dropped MADM 760 and re-mapped out my schedule as follows:

Summer AP2 - ISDS 705 (Lin), ECON 705 (Shaughnessy)
Fall AP1 - FIN 701 (Vines), MKT 705 (Kim)
Fall AP2 - ISDS 710 (Darrat)
Spring AP1 - MADM 701
Spring AP2 - MADM 760
Summer AP1 - MKT 701, ACCT 701
Summer AP2 - ISDS 702

I'd like to finish sooner, but based on the feedback in this forum and the fact that I have a full time job and two kids, I decided to take a few of the rougher classes solo. My biggest concern is Summer AP1. I simply can't see any other way to get ACCT 701 in a less painful combination unless I stretch it to Fall AP1, which I don't want to do. I'd like to be able to finish earlier not later. Anyone see a way to improve this schedule?

Do you think studying more would have helped or is the exam just that hard? Does the study guide or the fact that it's open book not help?

I'm really surprised you and zkwwbe say it was so tough.
