Has anyone seen their version of the truck they entered into the San Felipe 250 off-road race in April in Baja?

I can't upload pics but in the link I provide it shows the truck and a story about it.

I know with Workhorse's faltering I'm sure some people are skeptical about this truck and the stock and company (Lordstown Motors, RIDE) in general, but I think if this truck has a good showing in this race it will provide a significant boost to the company and the stock price.

They are in the process of building their Beta trucks now and still on target to start producing the trucks in the fall (September I think).

They say they have over 100k pre-sold trucks already.

You mentioned racing and caught my attention.

I’ve traded (short) options around RIDE more times than I can count and always did well with it. But I’ve never taken a deep dive on due diligence on the company. I’ll take a look.

Thanks

PS: Because of past issues, I ignored Fisker (FSR) and it really bucked the downtrend this week. As my pal Morty used to say, “who knew... whooo knew?!”

I think they are in a much better position than Workhorse or really any other EV company (besides Tesla, of course) with their huge plant they bought from GM.

I've been in with them since before their space merger with Diamond Peak holdings.

I think initially they are more or less catering to fleet vehicles. I know Serv-Pro has a large order with them.

I believe the beta vehicles will go out to some of these companies that have pre-ordered the Endurance so they can provide real world feedback to Lordstown.

I don’t understand why all the new EVs have to look like a toaster oven.
what’s wrong with dropping an electric drivetrain into a more common looking chassis?

is it a look at me I have an EV thing?

IDK. I've wondered that myself.

It's like they are all purposefully making them look like shite.

Make a tacomaesque truck and drop some battery action and sell the frick out of them.

I'm holding out for the Rivian IPO. I think it's gonna be a juggernaut that will legitimately rival Tesla in a couple years if not sooner.

They did some testing of the Rivian truck where I live in Wyoming and it does look great

I agree 100% that its gonna crush it. I didn't include Rivian in this thread since its not a publicly trade company yet. Ill definitely buy in once its public

The Nikola truck reminded me of a Tacoma. I thought it looked the best. Unfortunately that’s pretty much dead.

You'd think without the big motor up front they'd go with a super aero front end to maximize range but that would probably look really weird.

ALOT of institutional buys on this one. You would think they have done their homes work. Especially General Motors
