That kind of score means you've paid a shite load of interest in your life, congrats.

With a score of 813 you can go to any bank piss on the loan originator then frick his wife on his desk and he'll still want to give you a loan.

Not necessarily. Mine was 810 when I bought my truck a few months ago. The only interest I pay is on my mortgage, and I don't pay any more interest on that than the next guy. I haven't paid a cent in credit card interest in years, and I had 0% on my previous vehicle. I haven't done anything special to get it so high, other than getting lucky with some of the numbers they plug in the magic formula I guess.

I've done everything perfect and my score is a 740.

This can't be a real thread. Someone dumb enough to ask if a credit score of 800 is good would never have a credit score over 800.

I think my average was 785 or 790 between all three. At that time, I hadn't paid a dime in interest on anything in my life. No car note or house note yet. Everything in cash (nb4ilovebamareference ). I paid bills since I went on my own the summer before college.

I've been less than perfect in the past, and that's why I think I just got lucky on something.

Do bills affect your credit unless you're late?

Well I'm not giving free BJ's at Equifax, so I don't know what to tell you. I'm more than sure I've paid less interest in my life than 75% of people my age.

and it is 813. How good or bad is that score. dont really understand how all the points system works. Looking to buy a house in the next 2 years so i am trying to get a better understanding what it needs to be so i could get a home loan.
Here is a serious answer. This is a really good score. My score was in that range 10 years ago when I was car shopping and the salesman said he'd never seen one so high.

Soon after that, I bought a house. Do not go to a bank with that score. The bank does not have good interest rates. Use a mortgage broker. Ask friends for a referral. My interest rate on my house is 4.65 or something like that. You should get the primo rate. Have a downpayment, and you don't have to pay PMI or escrow taxes or insurance. You can get a great deal.

BTW, good for you for having such a good score. With all the people out there when a ton of credit card debt robbing Peter to pay Paul, you should be proud no matter how much you make.

I put 100% of my equity allocation in apple and microsoft stock in 1992 and invested the alternative investment portion in the venture capital of Google.

I haven't kept up with the markets and I don't understand pricing. Do you think this was a good idea? Should I take profits?
