Is Google Chasing The 90% Potential Of Blockchain That Facebook Left Out?

So I have avoided venturing out of the crypto thread because of some of the real life reception I have received trying to explain smart contracts. This is a great article to understand their potential and how a company SmartContracts and a crypto token Chainlink is playing a role.
Is Google Chasing The 90% Potential Of Blockchain That Facebook Left Out?
Disclaimer: I have been talking about Chainlink in the crypto thread since Sept 2017. I invested a little bit and the price has pumped. Hopefully this isn’t looked at as trying to get you to fomo in to something rather than educate you about smart contracts.
If you want to learn more about Chainlink I suggest grabbing a cup of coffee and reading through this site. LINK

Over the long haul? Yes.

Yeah, that's just what I want is to give Google an opportunity to capture, store and sell even more personal data about me to other parties.

Well I tried... back to the crypto thread

Well, you can’t start a thread by insulting everyone in the OP and expect constructive dialogue. Try again.

How did I insult anyone??
My opening statement was my real life experiences when I try to explain smartcontracts. I figured after reading the link it could start discussion.

You get insulted very easily then.

Are you always triggered easily?
I didn’t read any insult.

Color me suprised, I didn’t realize a man talking crypto was so insulting.

This is a very condescending statement. Sorry I’ve pissed off the crypto tribe

We must be on different wave lengths.

If I want to invest in a currency, I'll buy the denar.

Now I debated with you a awhile back about Chainlink, and I continue to be skeptical of its actual future value for a number of reasons. But it does not seem to be as incompetently developed as their botched initial offering led me to believe. I guess we’ll see about it’s actual value and it’s adoption moving forward.
That all being said, this quote in the article stands out as dishonest.
between Google and Chainlink. They just tested an application/process using Chainlink and showed it can he done and could be used in the future. It seemed more of a “look what Google Cloud can do” than anything like they do with all the other applications/process they test. And while it’s still a net positive for Chainlink, presenting that as some partnership does not jive with reality unless I’m missing something.

Google’s decision to partner with Chainlink

These comments echo some comments I saw on Reddit the day this came out.
Here is what Chainlink had to say from Twitter:
quote:
We're thrilled to share that Google is one of the great companies integrating #Chainlink into their approach to smart contract adoption. Here's how @GCPcloud users can use Chainlink to connect to BigQuery, one of Google's most popular cloud services.
I think the term partnership has lost some weight in the crypto world. That being said, if the tweet is accurate, an “integration” is arguably better imo.

I hate to tell you but you have fallen prey to an extreme Fud campaign to keep normal people from buying. Your sentiments in the other thread basically echoed the spamming of negative comments from Reddit. Even your comment about the google integration which is being reported in forbes is the same negative regurgitated response people used to discredit one of the biggest news in crypto.
If you don’t want to accept the Google integration then how about Oracle Partnering with Chainlink to help over 50 startups sell their data.
