I'm not aware that they do guns. But I have heard good things about jewelers mutual.

Not the cheapest way to insure belongings. But you are typically way better off covering those items away from your home insurance policy.

State Farm personal articles policy. It’s a no deductible (if you want), and pretty much all perils covered except for for fraud. Includes jewelry breaking as well.

Guns and scopes can be on it as well.

Jewelers Mutual

In the past. I moved all my watches over to Hodinkee which is Chubb. Much easier than dealing with all the hoops Jewelers Mutual wants you to jump though.

I use Jewelers Mutual and have been very happy with them. My wife's engagement ring has about 30 small diamonds (not so subtle brag) down each side of it and a few of them kept falling out over the years. There was a 1 year span where we lost 3 of them, each with a claim, and the third claim was to rebuild the entire ring since the jeweler finally just said "frick it, I'm gonna rebuild it". Jewelers Mutual paid for each claim with the last one being a very significant amount and still renewed me without any increase.

What hoops? Do you consider getting appraisals "hoops" to jump through? That's all I had to do. Just get an appraisal and complete the application, that's it.

Every single watch I buy has an Appraisal with it from the Authorized Dealer. JM wanted to take like 10 days to insure some of my watches because of the value of them (a $14k watch mind you not some $100k watch) sent a ridiculous questionnaire with all types of silly questions etc. I took all my watches off of JM and put them with Hodinkee who will cover my new watches as soon as I swipe my credit card and walk out the door with them before I even add them to my policy. That is service. Plus adding and removing coverage is ten times easier with Hodinkee. Every time I called JM it was like dealing with the grand inquisition with questions etc about what I was doing with my own property. Plus, Hodinkee will insure up to 150% of the value of every watch I have on the policy and not charge me extra for it. Bottom line is Hodinkee offers an easier and better service/coverage than JM does and at a cheaper price. Chubb is the gold standard in the industry for jewelry/watches.

All our jewelry is under JM. Our home owners was dropped post storm and needed to find a stand alone policy. I find it to be slightly more expensive but once we bundled a lot of other things together it became more reasonable. I also said I wouldn't travel internationally with any jewelry and that dropped the premium significantly. This was after my Patek 5167 was swiped in Naples and they essentially forced me to do it.

For guns look into Eastern insurance firearms and collectibles policy, best I have ever seen

$150 for $40K worth of coverage and you do not need to list your firearms unless any one is valued at over 10K
