Doesn’t the SEC require public listing of major shareholders for publicly traded stocks? If so, where is that information available?

You can see Institutional investors and insider holdings at Yahoo Finance, MSN money, or Gurufocus.

Fintel is the best place for commoners to look.
Just Google “Fintel SBUX” and you’ll see an updated list of institutional ownership in Starbucks.
Green means new positions
Red means closed positions
Other than that, look for the percentage increased column.

So does Finviz.
One reason I chased $NAT a few times was the executives are aggressively buying.
Don't want to chase too hard while they're losing money though.

yahoo finance
Look up a stock.
Go to holders tab.
It'll open up in major holders tab.
It'll break it down to top institutional holders and top mutual fund holders.
You also have inside roster and insider transactions tabs.

SEC LINK
Put in the stock you want to research, then check the beneficial ownership and insider trades reports. You can see how much the large shareholders have and if the insiders are buying or selling their shares.
