I guess slowly watching everyone's money dissolve is less of a political hit than a depression.

You have no clue what you’re talking about. As a poster in another thread said

You ever been duck hunting and your hands get frozen? Do you then say frick it and stick them in boiling water?

What do you suggest they do to combat inflation more effectively?

Econ 101, raise rates higher, not that you would understand as one of the dumbest money board posters.

The IQ of talking heads NOTICEABLY declined over the past decade. RIP Mark Haines. Haines wouldn't have put up with the bullshite.

Strannix is probably advocating for a Volker style response to combat inflation.

They were 11% when he ratcheted them up to 20, we are such pussies addicted to cheap credit, it's time for a reality check.

Again, what would you do?

You think raising rates 200 basis points will do it?

Anything under 400 would be a waste of time. The piper has to be paid, I could pick up cheap assets and get an actual decent return on money if all the poors would quit living beyond their means.

With ideas like that, I wouldn’t let you organize a one car parade.

Do you have any idea what a 400 basis point move would do?

Do you fix a burn by putting your hand in liquid nitrogen?

What's your estimated annual cost of servicing the debt interest if they hiked rates over 12%?

Not arguing that fact and we don’t own time machines. Given what we know now, the fed should have been more aggressive.

That being said, steady increases are the way to go, not gigantic 400 bp moves.

It's OK though as our money is going up in smoke in the meantime
