Ur right prolly in the way things work normally but does it bother you that bad if ppl have shares knowing 20 is realistic but what if it spikes to 100, 500, etc. I just don’t understand why it irritates you so much. It doesn’t affect you one way or another. Like I said I’m holding for 2-3 months to see if we get a squeeze like many ppl think on other sites. It will be awesome if it does. If it doesn’t than ur right. U have always asked AT for explanations and he never did it. Let’s just see if it happens. Ur input is good to keep ppl level headed with the numbers don’t add up to what ur expecting. I say I can dream can’t I. I got 92 shares and was bag holder till last week.

Nobody is saying it isn’t... But the whole reason AMC has had two long threads on here was because it was “the next GME” and its panning out not to be.

Will likely move to pre-covid 30s after everything opens up again, but its not “to the moon” as tons claim here.

All I’m asking is why is $20 realistic in the near term? $14 is already 3x what it was worth ore pandemic with respect to enterprise value.

Doesn’t at all. The whole thing is entertaining to me. I hope you make a ton of money. Asking you a question about why you’re making money shouldn’t bother you and others so much.

You making money trading AMC doesn’t invalidate a single thing I’ve posted in this thread.

The answer for me is I have no idea why it's making all this money but it's great. My thought process was something along the lines of "oh it's $6 but that should change when the movies open back up." The best part is that it's A-OK to not have any idea how this works as long as you do not get greedy or spend money you shouldn't be spending.

I look forward to this board's next gem they find.

It's 100% an emotional investment to AMC holders now

If anything this past year of trading has taught us is there is nothing predictable about today's market. With that being said I've bought heavily into AMC, and I've done so knowing the risk. But the reward that may me attained is very intriguing for many, in a nut shell thats the basics behind its drive upward.

So are we expecting big things from AMC today? I know y’all often talk about short sellers having to cover on Friday but I don’t know much about options trading. All I know is that I’m in AMC at $9/share and selling half when if it makes it to $20.

Appears to also be 100% emotional for people not invested in AMC.

Even over the Summer? I thought $20 was best case but realistic after things fully reopen and the waiting blockbusters make their way through the theaters.

Can you translate? Does this recent surge of outstanding shares indicate a positive for the stock price or is it a sign of negativity?

Extremely negative, they have more than 4x the shares outstanding. They issues shares to keep the lights on. So anyone holding a share today is literally worth 1/4 of what a share was worth before this year.

To get the same earnings per share AMC would need to quadruple earnings from pre-covid numbers. I am guessing that is probably impossible in their current business as there is a finite amount of seats. What is more realistic is that earnings will be much lower since they have probably closed and failed to maintain many locations during the covid shutdowns.

A stock like AMC moving from $2 to $14 in 3 months is already quite the reward. The dynamics that helped it make that move are going to be very difficult to replicate when the float has ballooned over that time frame to 400 million shares, but if you know the risk from here, good luck.
