I get it, you are a numbers guy, but my reference was to point out the extremely large amount of calls being bought at $40. 139K in open interest??!! Crazy!

No argument from me. I see what you’re saying. This is another case where we might both be right. Somebody might buy those calls for a trade and exit on a spike, while I might let them expire (assuming the stock doesn’t breach my strike).

I totally understand your point, I'm just shocked at the sheer size of the bet on this price.

Agreed. I looked at some calls a few weeks ago, but they were just too rich on a lottery ticket, IMO. If I want increased exposure, I'll just buy another 50 shares.

I’m guessing some people remember what happened with GME calls awhile back. I tried to sell puts on that one when it started to tumble. But like most people, I got locked out of the trade. Then my TDA rep told me that if I called him directly, he could enter the trades for me as long as I was willing to put up 100% margin for a short naked put trade (treating it like a cash covered put). I didn’t pursue it, but REALLY wish that I had.

I haven’t checked the margin requirements for AMC on the short call side. Are you fellows experiencing any trading restrictions from your brokerages?

Friendly reminder that we’re on page 105 of a stock that’s down 12% since the first post of the thread. Stock opened at $14.31 that morning.

The entertainment factor, however, is about as high as you can get on the MB.

Probably not as entertaining to you in retrospect now that AMC is up 14% on the day is it?

I know you can't use margin to buy the stock. As far as anything else, I have no idea.

most reasonable investors will take a 10.5% gain any day.

It could be running at $50/share and he'd have something negative to post.

InvestorPlace AMC Good May 24

Same publication, articles literally underneath each other.

Hard to take your advice when you’ve been right about AMC exactly 1 time in this thread. I expect some reversion to the mean for your next few predictions.

Do you both realize this thread has basically become a pissing contest between the two of you at this point?

I’m aware. It’s basically been that for a couple months.
