Have not, looking into it.

Can you give any insight to how the process went? If applied for EDIL or PPP, how did it compare?

it was little more difficult than the PPP process simply bc you have to prove your expenses during the time of loss and provide documented evidence you spent what you are claiming. that took the longest to put together bc for each category you can only upload 1 file, so i had to combine all invoices, receipts, lease copies, into 1 document. overall the application process was bad tho.

Very disappointing and frustrating experience so far. My wife applied and submitted application within first hour back on July 28th. She qualifies for Minority / women owned grants which are supposed to get top priority. Her application has been sitting in “eligibility review” stage ever since. The only number that you can call is no help at all when we ask about her application. Hard for me to believe her application hasn’t progressed any further but who knows? Only positive thing to come out of this so far is our teenage daughter helped download all the documents and fill out the application. So she has seen how the process has gone. Good life lesson on how frustrating it is to deal with the government and to never depend on the government for help.

I was told directly by someone in the program that they are required to have a response to you within 21 calendar days. Maybe you can call the treasures office?

Did you also receive a PPP loan?

My wife did not apply or receive any aid. (No ppp or eidl). This is first thing she has applied for. She was told that her application is being processed normally ( timewise)? I would love to hear if any one else’s application is farther along. She did the itemized option so I understand her app will take longer but it looks like they haven’t even started reviewing her expenses yet.
I thought about contacting Treasurers office directly but figured I would give it a few more days.

Yes. Earlier in the process, you would have had to wait until they distributed funds to companies that did not receive PPP, but that window has closed now and those who did receive PPP are able to receive funds (assuming they are eligible in all other respects). I do believe you'll have to show your qualified expenses exceed the amount of your PPP loan.

When calculating an applicant’s MSRP grant amount, either under the QuickRelief Option or Cost Reimbursement Option, the Program will conduct a duplication of benefits analysis. The Program will consider the following amounts received, as of the date of application, as duplication of benefits:

Amounts received from United States Small Business Administration – Guaranty Paycheck Protection Program (PPP);Amounts received due to a United States Small Business Administration Economic Injury Disaster Loan;Amounts received due to a United States Small Business Administration Economic Injury Disaster Loan Advance;Amounts received from any other federal program providing relief for the impact of COVID-19; and,Amounts received as a result of a business interruption insurance claim for COVID-19 related expenses.

Other “federal programs” that may generate a reduction in a MSRP grant could include the following:

Other specifically allocated CARES Act funds, such as the CARES Act allocation to the Louisiana Department of Education to provide grans to childcare providers; and,Any other federal funds received should also reduce the MSRP grant.

I applied on 8/19 for my wife's business, and have only made it to the "Pending Application Expense" phase. I thought the idea was to have money into business owners' hands in a few days.

From their website this morning- $275MM set aside, 2468 applications awarded grants, $255,952,091 left to distribute. In 46 days, they've only spent $19MM. I guess it's good they're not just throwing money around, but we've got rent to pay!

from what i understand this is why they increased the quick relief payout. P and N is handling it and it was taking too much manpower to dig through all the damn tax returns.

i got my determination this morning, full grant. applied 8/23 notified of approval 9/11

Received notification yesterday that I would receive the full 15K quick relief.

I did not apply for any other grant loans prior to Main Street.

Happy for ya'll. My wife is having a bit of a different experience. She applied the first morning back on July 28th and still has not been told what amount she will receive if any. Pretty dissapointing experience. She is woman owned business and received nothing from any other programs.

Has she logged into her account to see where they say they are in the process?

She logs in constantly. Lol. The last couple days the system skipped two or three of the steps ( quickgrant evaluation, Quality control step, etc). The itemized step is in progress it says. Just hard to understand why people that applied a month after her have gotten a determination already. I am hopeful she will hear something in next few days but she is nervous they will run out of money before they process her application.
