I think we talked about it in a thread a while back and 5-10 million of income generating assets ought to be enough for most to be exceptionally happy.

Oh is that it?

Enough, subjective

Bloat in lifestyles, subjective

Richest person in graveyard, not subjective

I used to think I’d work forever just to feel productive. Now I’m 13 years from a full pension prior to 60 and will have 2.5 million at least by then in savings…..I’m thinking I’ll probably be good to say it’s enough.

Yes, except for retirement, but I'm on track to retire in 8 years at 58

Look at this boomer privilege

Yes mrs aoc, this one right here. He’s not paying his fair share into the Israeli missiles and basketball shoes fund!

. But it would have been nice to have more for my vehicles instead of the $700/month I’m now paying for two vehicles.

Is this 2 for $700 or 2 for $700/each?

If the former, you done good.

Yep.

But I’m old, my wife is retired. I got my real estate license (and broker’s) so I work as much as I want to keep busy.

I’ll probably quit even that in a year or two and hang out on the golf course, the pool or the hot tub full time depending on the weather.

It took a while, and losing a lot of money once upon a time to learn when to quit chasing more.

If the boomers keep electing Biden’s and Clinton’s and other socialists we’ll be able to retire relatively soon when we’re imprisoned for our political leanings baw
