I’m a big believer in precious metals for the near future. Once the printing press revs up again, gold and silver should see another boom.

I buy physical metal every month, but most of my allocation is in physically backed ETFs. I always have a decent percentage in gold and silver. I know it’s not the investment strategy called for by many smart people, but I sleep better at night knowing I have it.

IAU and SLV are two etfs but there are more

How much further down will it collapse from 40+ year old all time inflation adjusted highs of $119/oz/?
Or is tomorrow another day when it will soar to $1,000/oz?

now is an excellent time to be adding physical precious metals to the portfolio ...

1) lead
2) gold

Lead? I've got about 1,000 lbs of led in the shape of old wheel weighs in my Dad's long shut down tire shop.

That crap is too heavy too move!

I’ve been a coin collector since the late ‘60s (as a kid).

Backed into precious metals by doing estate work that involved folks who had precious metals or (more often) pre-‘65 US silver coins.

I’ve got about 10% of my net worth in rare coins (almost accidentally after a lifetime of collecting) and another 10% or so in US pre’65 coins and modern US gold.

I feel like the rare coins are like owning an collectible classic car without the overhead (the safe deposit box rent excepted) and the precious metal percentage amount is about as high as I should go.

I get opportunities to add to my metal portfolio per year, a couple of attorneys who do estate work refer me to their clients.

I second JM Bullion, I’ve dealt with them and they’ve a good industry reputation.

I also have positive experience dealing with JM Bullion .... several transactions over the past 7+ years. They also recently acquired Provident Metals in Dallas, and Provident has a really good website with a wealth of information on metals.

Keep on stackin' ...
