Federal Refund doesn't match expected refund

Never had that happen before, it was about $1800 less. Is it a mistake, or should I expect a letter explaining the difference?

You'll get a letter with very little detail saying what they adjusted.
Happened to me last year, and they got it wrong.
I am still going back and forth with them, literally, by hand written letters about how my filing was correct and their adjustment was incorrect 13 months after I filed.

They are probably adjusting it based on your social woke score. If you are woke you get more money back. IF you are not woke they take extra from you. They decide how much. It will only get worse.

Wrong! Biden will have another stimulus check in the mail by Fall of this year. Our lower income brothers are hurting terribly.
