re: Diving deeper on Standard Lithium?

To be fair, and I just re-ran a search on this to make sure, when Mintak has talked about non-dilutive funding it has been in regards to funding the projects themselves (1A, SWA). At least in his last 5 or so interviews, so I can't say this dilution proves him a liar. I just hoped there was a better way to finance the studies, leases, etc. than dilution.
I've recently come to terms with the question of what they own. In the midst of hearing all those Mintak interviews I noticed that he stopped calling SLI a tech company and started calling them a project developer. So they own their projects. Their value is in the projects. If someone asked me today if they should invest here I would tell them to do DD and determine if they believe the projects will come to pass. If not, you should definitely move along. Unless you know how to value X lithium/bromine/potash concentrations across X acres of leases for X years of production and so on. They have no world-beating tech nor any mineral estates to fall back on, only their positioning and, eventually, their projects.
I don't know how to value risk so as long as they seem to be on track I just pretend that the "fundamentals" from their current feasibility studies are in effect today. Until they might achieve a total loss of confidence, then sell

I'm going to kick mintak in the dick if he ever comes south of Arkansas.

I'll wait around see what happens at the next royalty meeting. If continues to be delayed or at least not substantial in terms of SLI making progess towards actual commercialization, then I may exit my position at unfortunately at hefty loss.

Are we waiting to get delisted or is it time to ?

Thanks folks !! guess we know who here is from Canada.
Markets here are open and SLI is down another 2%
We've now fallen below E3 Lithium, which I think is absolutely nuts. They're so new to the space and yet they're claiming to have full production online by 2026. They've also gotten a lot of grant money from the federal government here.
Looking forward to Mike's update tomorrow. Hopefully its not all bad news !!

Diluting at $2 a share looks desperate.
The PR has been pathetic and should have been showing monthly or weekly demo plant production results in a constant stream of proofs of concept not conference yak and hiring news.
$1.50

On the bright side, we won’t be in the red today. That’s three days in a row!

We are in Red today on TSX

It's fun and scary at the same time to speculate what Mike knows.
I feel like if he had good news, he would've shared it with the forum on Friday. More likely, he spared us 3 days of heartache.
Good man, Fe_Mike !!

Haha, sorry folks. Had the call Friday and left the notes behind, was waiting to post a 'full update' til I got a hold of them again.
To be brief, it was less than compelling. The most 'valuable' thing I learned was indeed bad news.
Not going to be selling tomorrow - but likely will start reducing my position after early February if news doesn't come out. Hopefully my comments don't spur a selloff before then
The two big bits of info I got were:
Good news - They are finally starting earnings calls. First one will be for their fiscal Q3 financials which will be released early February. That's what I'm waiting on now.
Bad news - I'll save the worst for last - this is honestly the only thing people will really care about. FID will not be made, one way or another, until the royalties are set. The royalties will not be set any earlier than the April AOGC meeting. The upcoming AOGC meeting is not one where a decision can be made.
......*ducks*
I'll post a full summary of my notes soon.

Yes. Just a few blocks from their office.

False. But transition to electric can't be forced, and until the charging infrastructure expands, many areas such as south Arkansas, just won't be able to for most people.
Energy storage will be a big need. Not just for those going solar, but for grid stabilization.

Well the bright side is there’s no more shorting the stock once we’re delisted

Devastating.
I'm as big a cheerleader this company has, but can someone tell me why their share price won't break the dollar mark between now and April (if April is a better hearing guess than Sep, Dec, and Jan were)
1. Management does not have a past win to point to
2. The tech is not revolutionary as once thought
3. Regulatory issues are apparently not the formalities they've been REPEATEDLY presented as
4. They're diluting at a tiny price, showing little faith in a short-term rebound
I only bring up points 1 and 2 because the reason I overlooked them (excellent positioning with a smooth regulatory pathway) has now eroded.
Riding this pessimism, why start earnings calls in Feb? "We still don't make money and have less cash than the $27,677,537.88 ending Sep 23." Credits.
Are grants the only hope of a positive in the next 3 months?
Don't care if they start SWA DFS (that was supposed to start last quarter) until the "easy" project becomes more than realistic fiction.
Maybe I'm overreacting, but I'd like a foundation to trust them more.
Thanks for the abbreviated update in the meantime Mike.

Not trying to be a jerk, but imagine being Mintak on Feb 15. Scheduled to give a speech next to Exxon and Tetra, in front of people who paid at least $250 to be there, and your entire business depends on a decision that won't happen for at least another 2 months. What do you say that isn't already on YouTube or your website?

Why? I'd flop my dick out and ask who in the room has a demo plant that is currently extracting lithium.
Exxon and Tetra don't even know what their concentrations are as they are just now drilling test holes. They should have some results by now as it's been about 2 months since the first one was drilled. I haven't seen anything released though.
ETA-not saying I'm happy over the current situation, but has XOM/Tetra produced anything but noise? A few wells and test holes is all I know of. COVID set us back 2-3 years. I've said this since the beginning. Now inflation has jacked up construction costs while interest rates have exploded. Just a shitty time to be a small, pre-revenue company.
