The market seems to hate almost everything I own outside my tax deferred retirement accounts. They don't want me taking too early retirement.

1 isn’t coming. That would mean its market cap equals its approximate asset book value, leaving the business operations themselves valued at $0.

I’ve bought the dip a few times, but it keeps dipping.

It's hard to reward them with more buying, but we are in the range where their rights to lithium are worth it even if they don't do a thing. A la Tetra.

I'd like to know the actual value of their mineral options. Trying to figure it out, I have more questions than answers.
The reference would be the Galvanic to Exxon sale of 120k mineral acres for $100M. This was probably the entire mineral estate.
Standard doesn't own any mineral estates, only options to produce on someone else's.
Options (only lithium) for 27k acres from Tetra for SWA and at least 25k acres in East Texas (right to all minerals, including potash, bromine)
So you have Exxon's full 120k acre mineral estate sold in Arkansas for $100m
vs
Lithium production rights on 27k acres + All mineral production rights on property with much higher lithium concentrations, good bromine levels (how compares to Exxon's?), and good potash (does Exxon's have this at all?) on 25k acres (at least).
Interesting

Also I emailed IR today to ask if the pilot plant has been extended beyond Dec 5 and if the AOGC ruled either way on the 1A royalty rate. Will hopefully report back shortly

SLI hasn't done anything proof of concept wise for over 2 years. They really need to do a monthly production report of complete end to end lithium production at the demo plant including costs even if they can't sell the product. Have Koch verify it.

they should've been doing these for the last couple years. There will come a time when a monthly report will look more like begging than showcasing what they've done

Agree with everything except this part, use a 3rd party to attest. Really need to see some production volume.

Just added another 5% at $1.83
Will do one more 5% tranche if it gets to the $1.70 level. Then just try to shut it out of my head til January.
Have some concerns that an offtake agreement that may or may not have been a 'done deal' a few months ago is now in limbo because of the plunging lithium prices. Could be slowing down the capital raise.
We'll see how the next month goes. Hopefully I don't get to buy any more.

Same concern here. But I think Joe Lowry said something that made me think that the US lithium market might be independent in a way since the IRA funding programs require US minerals. Planning to listen to his podcast with Exxon this afternoon

Anybody in here do any technical or chart analysis? I'd be curious what the technicals are looking like, because this has to be getting to the point of being very oversold. It's been straight down since August with hardly any bounce (minus one two week stretch in October). We've gotta be due at least a dead cat bounce soon

wow !! another 7% drop .. why?
who's crazy enough to sell at these prices?

Here's the 5 year chart for lithium commodities. Pretty darn close to SLI's 5 year chart. Hopefully lithium will stabilize or bounce at that 2021 level that it sat at for months. If so, then we may be getting close to a bottom ::fingerscrossed::
But it definitely seems we are dependent on this trend reversing with lithium before any individual stocks get relief. The recent headlines about low demand for EVs has no doubt hurt.

To be clear, I will not be buying another 5% if it hits that level today.

The other lithium stocks are rebounding after today's slow start, SLI missed the memo.
