Very interesting wording. My prior understanding was that Tetra was going to be developed only after all the Lanxess leases were developed, but perhaps that thinking has changed.
I told y'all they been working at Tetra site! Not sure of the other 30k acre brine project. I think Galvanic leased like 100,000 acres.

It is, I think, the lowest risk highest reward stock I’ve ever come across.
100%. I'm getting more and more concerned about where I would redeploy my profits if/when I sell here at $20+ per share. Maybe I should just let it ride if it goes above $20 with a stop loss order at $20? I should probably backfill with at least some portion of index funds and not be in 100% speculative stocks for the duration of my career before retirement...

I’ve thought the same thing. SLI is behaving kinda like an alternative asset which honestly is being highly sought after right now. It’s not correlating much to the S&P. If I sold right now I’m not sure where I’d feel as comfortable placing the proceeds.

After hours close at $8.53 (+$0.12 over the close in normal trading), there was no need for me to paint it tonight!

I was wonderin if that was you.

Not tonight, but the past two after hours trading sessions it was me painting the close with 100 share buys.

I have 35,088 shares and still buying.

Hopefully those Krauts in Frankfurt pull the so back to where they put it upon announcement.

Yeah usually it’s the Germans that cuck us out but today it was low IQ U.S. day traders whose attention span is limited to 280 character tweets, no time/ability to read/understand a PEA!

Anyway, with all this talk of the PEA I wanted to take a step back and have another look at their technology as it relates to the long term. Do we have a good feel for SLI’s extraction process and how it relates to other competitors’ ‘green’ brine extraction? How disruptive is it really, relative to its competitors? Is it really a game changer? It’s obviously superior to the traditional (lengthy) brine extraction process but the technology doesn’t seem that difficult to replicate with other chemical processes.
DLE is old technology that's been around since the 60s I believe. I don't think they have much of a leg up there. Although, I think it has to be tweaked a bit depending on the resource so maybe they have something specific to the Smackover Formation. The current economics/projected demand/greenie BS is what is making DLE feasible now.
SLI's main advantage is a strategic one with them having access to plentiful water, active brine wells, permitting in place, local workforce, local sourcing of reagents needed for production, pipelines, etc.
The news of them being able to take lower quality lithium stock and make it into higher grade is intriguing, but that may not be specific to them either.

Not to cast doubt on your bear theory here, but…if this were the case…can you think of no other global lithium company with a massive presence in the Smackover area that has way more access to brine resources? And if there is such a company, I suppose they have no interest in capitalizing on this “old” extraction method?

Hmmmm...seems like there may be one. Maybe the largest lithium producer in the world just a short drive from Lanxess and next door to Tetra that attempted DLE and failed miserably?

Good movement in premarket so far.

I didn't mean to sound bearish. I've been in this since $1.02 and want it to succeed as much as anyone.
DLE isn't new. Mintak himself said it took a perfect storm for it to be financially feasible. Obviously there are different ways to do it or there wouldn't be these other DLE companies we keep hearing about.
Like I said, SLI's patent-pending LISTR process might be specific to the Smackover brine. Maybe you can shed some light on that for us.

LFG boys, maybe today we break the $9 curse. No more “triple top” nonsense from technical traders please!
