serious question. Does SLI need an experienced, licensed chemical engineer to work remotely from Louisiana to get this shite to $20? Can provide resume upon request

Serious answer: In my opinion ... yes

Either Mintak is a horrible salesman or the process is experiencing problems
I know smack says that mintak under sells and over performs but at this point in the game that is a silly strategy.

Baws this video got me through the dip to $5.08 the other week... The closer we get to $20 I'll think back to going through those dark days and having the balls to stick to your guns...

Seems like none of us here really have the inside information to make a claim like that. I presume you are inferring that the delay in the JV timeline means that the process is experiencing problems?

Correct.
No JV yet . 3 months late.
And all Mintak had to say was. “We are the greenest and cheapest lithium producer in the world.
Boom we would be at $12 right now.
I can only presume he didn’t say it because it isn’t true. We will see.

PS .. I am a pessimist to the core.
Glass half empty kind of guy.
Especially after the workhorse fiasco

Somehow I doubt Lanxess would have become a key shareholder if they had serious doubts about the process. Why isn't there room for the possibility that these things just take longer than expected?

Agree. I go back and forth in my mind between the two possibilities .
( it’s a scam.... but Lanxess is a real company that has already invested in this idea..... but no JV..... back and forth... fourth and back..
I just can’t forget that Wkhs was the only fully electric bidder and had made the final cut down to three bidders. And then boom.burnt to the ground.

That was a painful day. The day APPs collapsed was painful for me too, but the WKHS non-contract made me feel nauseous for a few days.

Mintak also didn’t say. Our pilot plant has already produced and is producing 99% pure product.
We simply scale up the plant and we will be fully operational by Xx-xx-2022.
But he didn’t say that either.
I have a lot of money invested in this because Lanxess is no joke.
But Mintak worries me.

That was based on a contract decision by the U.S. Federal government, not by Lanxess or SLI management. Thankfully in our case we're a lot less dependent upon a government decision.

This is in no way an insult to the LA Tech guys working onsite but they have a combined 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering (give or take and please forgive me if im wrong). Where are the process and control engineers?

While im happy to see La folks involved in this, this has the feel of an experiment. You dont have young guys like that working on a project like this at this point unless all of the detailed engineering is being done in Canada and they are just maintaining the place. Maybe they are in a holding pattern? It just doesn't feel staffed up.

The reason the stock popped is because Cramer said
, “I thought this was too good to be true. But I guess it is true”

The stock popped because of Cramer not because of anything Mintak said.
Mintak said nothing new.
Just being honest.

Fair enough - but you are neglecting why Cramer said it was true - (ie he researched it). He went from can’t be true to true based off his research. Since virtually all available data available to research flows through Mintak - I think you are being overly harsh.

But as I said earlier I don’t think it was a home run interview - But It got the word out there.

… and Cramers tweet this morning suggests he has legitimately bought in:

“ Not unreasonable. Lithium is going to come down big as we develop our own source. watch last night's show about Standard Lithium $SLI. Arkansan lithium!”
