Sure would be nice if those batteries and all that lithium were produced domestically.

Tesla (TSLA -0.4%) supplier CATL is planning to raise $9B through a private placement to help increase its production of lithium ion batteries, capitalizing on investor optimism over electric vehicles.
China's top battery maker says it aims to raise 58.2B yuan ($8.98B) by placing 232.9M shares with institutional investors.
CATL plans to use the proceeds to fund projects at six new and existing facilities in China's Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangsu provinces, as well as for research and development, and working capital.
Besides Tesla, CATL supplies batteries to Chinese EV makers NIO (NIO -3%), XPeng (XPEV -3%) and Li Auto (LI -4.6%), as well as traditional brands including Daimler's (OTCPK:DDAIF +0.1%) Mercedes Benz.

The lack of press from our guys is frustrating. But hey, we got some recognition here.
This isn't a pump and dump bruh. This is a real company. This isn't a blockchain revolution you gotta hype because there is no business.

I think the best way is to let it grow organically. The product will sell itself. They buyers they are worried about are not stockholders. Undo hype leads to disappointment and can hurt a quality stock. The ideal situation is for them to keep a steady rise with those occasional burst based on good news. Makes it easier to hold and make decisions. Stay in long enough and there just might be dividends. Can't guarantee it. If they don't they it'll be stock buybacks or a combo of both.
If there's any fear of a pump and dump, it should've been answered by now. Like I've said before, most locals don't know about it and every day I have people give me a tip about a hot new stock they heard about SLI.
They are still in their infancy.

Exactly. It felt like a bad week, but when you end the week higher than you started, that's a win.

That’s right. Just zoom out a little bit
Look at last week. Last month. Six months

Has anyone brought up the fact that the chlorine shortage will affect bromine production? I am hearing it will slow down.

Chlorine is a byproduct of bromine extraction. I may be wrong, but I think Lanxess has that worked out. They brine has high concentrations of NaCl.

I think you're mixed up on this one. In a video posted a while back Mintak mentioned that chlorine was a byproduct of their (SLI's) process and is the main element required for bromine extraction (Lanxess) so there could possibly be a situation where their byproduct is used by Lanxess.

you are correct. I'm anxious to see what other byproducts come from their extraction.

Chlorine is used to swap the bromine off the salt in the bromine feed brine.
Even with the chlorine supply problems reducing bromine production, there will still be plenty of bromine tail brine available. And, I'm pretty sure Standard's process doesn't need bromine specific tail brine. They can take the O&G tail brine direct as long as they are still pumping.
