Ar minimum, they could sell the patent and walk away
Or license it all around. I suspect that they will go into full production and grab all of the potential brine sources possible while the patent protects their IP.

I have been burned before by scammers who pump and dump. Penny stocks I don’t normally mess with. They scare me.
From what I have seen, SL is not a bunch of Wall Street weasels and market scammers. These guys have all of the marketing slickness of engineers.
I think this is a winning lottery ticket. If it drops to 1.72 as predicted on Thursday or Friday, I'll be loading up some more.

Well, Im 50/50 cash and SL.
Lets see what happens over the next few days.
Uncertainty over the elections also making me nervous.

I think its pretty certain that Biden won. Plus I would argue that a democrat administration is better for this stock.

Yeah I'm not sure what that comment is based on. Maybe he reads the election board too much. But in real life, things have already moved on even with all the stuff that keep coming out. From a market perspective, there's no uncertainty there

That isn't the election of concern. The GA run-offs are the one to be apprehensive about. Having a Dem controlled House and Senate could very well affect the market temporarily.

Looks like Biden will move into the White House whether he actually won or not.
Yeah, no doubt that will benefit lithium for EV's.
I came out of Obama's Great Recession doing very well since I had cash to take advantage of solid ETF's and stocks that were depressed to 25% or 50% of their normal value, so there's that.

How does Ameritrade work to buy this stock. It shows the price around $2.12. The calculator says for $500 i can get around 233 shares. I set it to 230 with the limit at $500 to spend. Then it says something that would cost $100,000+ and i can only get 1 share for $500. I dont get why its doing that. Also i thought ameritrade didnt do transaction fees. They want $7 to process.

Sounds like user error to me. 230 shares at $500 is $116,500. I think you entered the trade wrong, but I'm not familiar with Ameritrade so I can't tell you how it should be entered.
The transaction fee is likely because it's a penny stock. I use Etrade. They charge transaction fees for penny stocks too...typically $4.95.

Any word on whether this is still on schedule?

Vancouver, BC – December 8, 2020 – Standard Lithium Ltd. (“Standard Lithium” or the “Company”) (TSXV: SLL) (OTCQX: STLHF) (FRA: S5L), has priced its previously announced marketed public offering of common shares (the “Shares”) of the Company. The Company intends to issue up to 13,650,000 Shares at a price of $2.20 per Share, for aggregate gross proceeds of up to $30,030,000 (the “Offering”). The Offering is being conducted on a “best efforts” agency basis by Roth Canada, ULC (“Roth Canada”) and Echelon Wealth Partners Inc. (“Echelon” and together with Roth Canada, the “Co-Lead Agents”), as colead agents and joint bookrunners, together with Roth Capital Partners LLC as the exclusive placement agent in the United States (the “U.S. Placement Agent”, together with the Co-Lead Agents, the “Agents”).
The Company has agreed to grant the Agents an option (the “Over-Allotment Option”), exercisable in whole or in part at the sole discretion of the Agents, to purchase from the Company up to an additional 15% of the Shares sold under the Offering, on the same terms and conditions of the Offering to cover over-allotments, if any, and for market stabilization purposes. The closing of the Offering is anticipated to occur on December 17, 2020, or such other date as the Company and the Agents may agree. Closing of the Offering is subject to customary closing conditions, including, but not limited to, execution of an agency agreement and receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals, including the approval of the securities regulatory authorities and the TSX Venture Exchange (the “TSXV”).
The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the Offering to fund ongoing work programs to advance the LANXESS Project, including ongoing testing and optimization work underway at the SiFT lithium carbonate crystallization pilot plant and the direct lithium extraction demonstration plant (which utilizes the Company’s proprietary LiSTR technology) (the “Demonstration Plant”), preliminary engineering work to advance commercial development of the Company’s proprietary lithium extraction process and negotiation and development of a joint venture with LANXESS Corporation, and for working capital and general corporate purposes.

The “limit” field is the high limit of price you’re willing to pay per share. Not the limit on the total you’re wanting to spend. So you’re telling it that you’re willing to pay up to $500/share for 230 shares, which would total $115k. Set your limit to $2.12.

i'll sell you my shares for 500/each.

I guess none of you guys have seen the medical reports that COVID shut downs may last through 2021. If that happens the border may remain closed. And the Democrats are for staying shut down so I can see why you are confused

Or Etrade. Etrade is a good bit easier to read than TD. TD is quite powerful, but it's more like a previous generation of software with its computerishness for my tastes and I've been sitting in front of a computer key board for 45 years.
