From Lanxess' Q3 earnings call transcript a couple days ago....someone asked about the lithium project in Arkansas. This is Lanxess talking, not SL.

"On your third question, lithium, well, I said in the last conference call, we need open borders. And then after borders are opened, give us roundabout 3 months for running and testing the process, looking if we need to work on the technology and simply learn. As you know, believe it or not, borders are still closed. And with the unclear Presidential situation in the U.S., I - my personal assumption is borders will not open until a Presidency is being decided. So we need open borders, so that engineers can really work on the pilot plant, on the process, on the technology. And we need open borders from Canada to the United States. We need also that our Germans can travel. I mean, I have my central power task force here, the chemical engineers, that basically do the key engineering work for top sites worldwide, and they cannot enter. And they are here in the U.S.

And before I invest money in big extraction units, I want to have my engineers really checking, validating everything, so that we invest on best conscious decisions. It is what it is. Corona is there. And we have, as you know, unfortunately, borders closed, which never happened, I would say, in the last several decades."

Definitely no buyout anytime soon.

It was definitely halted this morning. Here is the alert saying it resumed at 10:15 EST

Newswire

I’m not worried, definitely not selling with no news. May even buy, looks like panic selling occurred and with no news the halt may well have been a mistake.

Either way, as mentioned, trading was halted which merits a bit more attention and concern around the “why”.

It's good to see this in light of the three vaccines coming out now or by the end of month. Once the high risk people are vaccinated, the fear porn can end and the borders can reopen.

Benchmark Mineral Intelligence puts out a lot of good info on the lithium industry and supply chain. I'll register and watch the recording.

The private placement may be to start building modules to be ready to go when the border opens. Nothing is stopping them from producing lithium once that happens. Why wait 3 months for Lanxess to fully vet the process and tech when you can start producing income and prove it for them. The 12-24 month period of time that they can operate and keep 100% of revenue begins once Lanxess signs off to pay for modules and expansion. Why wait if you have investors willing to put money up? Prove concept at commercial level production and start profiting while Lanxess does their due diligence. Just a thought. Without knowing how much they are raising, it's tough to say. May just be needed to continue operations in Canada while waiting on border to open. There is nothing negative being said here locally. Ready for COVID to be over for numerous reasons.

Can someone answer a very important question for me?

How do you pronounce Lanxess? I read it as lan-sex every time I see it.
