re: Diving deeper on Standard Lithium?

The driver for the recent gains and long bull forecast is summed up in the article right here.
An interesting recent development makes me think the Lanxess deal is closer to a successful outcome is the announcement on June 14 that Lanxess has converted a loan to Standard Lithium of US $3,750,000 into shares of Standard Lithium. I’m thinking that if Lanxess didn’t want to move forward and didn’t believe in Standard Lithium’s technology and goals, they would have rather opted for their cash back instead of shares of Standard Lithium.

Nothing newsworthy, but any and all exposure is good exposure at this stage.
Very good in depth analysis. Lots of details.

Again, and please don't misconstrue my point here because I'm long and really believe in SL, why do people keep pointing to this as a belief that Lanxess just 'bought in' to STLHF?
In what world would Lanxess have 'rather opted for their cash back'? The loan was for a value of $3.75MM. If Lanxess wanted cash repayment, they would have gotten....$3.75MM (plus 3% interest because SL isn't turning a profit yet, whoopee). Their option was to accept shares (6.25 MM to be precise, plus another 3+MM warrants). That's $30 million if they exercise the warrants. It doesn't take Warren Buffett to figure out the math on that one, fellas.
The only stipulation in the conversion is that Lanxess must hold for 4 months. That isn't exactly a risk when the share price is 8x what they 'paid' for the shares. They chose $20 million over $4 million. Period. There is no 'secret meaning' to glean from that; it's just the obvious payout to accept, regardless of your long term view of the company whose shares you are getting.

So if we get to 3.5 months out and no JV announcement, sell everything because they will right before saying no.

If we don't have JV in 4 weeks I may take some profits. In 3.5 months we should have JV and be uplisted to NYSE.

You think we run before that or stay rangebound?

I honestly don't have a clue. I thought we stay pretty flat until JV, if not drop some. That 2 million share purchase on Canadian exchange got some people off their asses. Most everyone I know is still accumulating. Thought I was done, but after getting some positive news I may have to pick up some more. Hate to have so many eggs in one basket, but I don't have that much of my money in it. But my last 14k shares cost damn as much or more than my first 70-80k shares.

I THINK, but don't know, that it'll drift up slowly until JV announced. JV announcement could be any day or it could take weeks. Maybe with their quarterly report which could even show some profits if Lanxess has started to purchase their production from demo unit.

Didn’t you say you owned LNXSY shares too? Why is it showing no price movement since April 29??

Low volume OTC for LNXSF. Was up to around $80. Appears some Lanxess folks been selling and buying STLHF. Been considering it myself. I personally know quite a few that are buying as much STLHF as they can afford. Many can't buy STLHF if they are involved in the project at all.

Smack do you see another dip within the next day/hours to buy? I want to pull the trigger on more but don't want to miss a dip or miss the rocket up
Posted on 6/29/21 at 12:17 pm to SETH6180
Not sure. Know quite a few folks talking about dumping money in now. I thought that last little run may be the beginning of it. If they all pull the trigger, it'll be UP. But saying and doing are two different things. Know one that just bought like 2500k.

I would think if no news in the next 3 to 4 weeks, we see a dip to 3.50 range. Assuming follows charting
Posted on 6/29/21 at 12:20 pm to SETH6180
If it stays quiet the next two weeks I think a pullback below $4 could be expected.
The obvious risk is that everyone is expecting news any day now. And there is a lot of buying going on, which could imply some leaky seals.
I’d say get in but maybe not for your full position. If it drops, average down. If it takes off, at least you’ve got some skin in the game.

If you are long and believe in the company, then now is the time.

This. News coming soon, but that could be weeks. Been debating since Monday whether to pick up more now or wait. Corporate don't leak those things. No one knows about press releases or news until it happens. Probably less than 5 people know when those are coming.

Truth. The patterns only hold until new news comes out.

Anybody got any guesses what it'll do once JV announced? I think most buying now have already factored it in. The unknown is how many new investors it will bring.
Posted on 6/29/21 at 12:37 pm to SmackoverHawg
Usually the Canadian volume is about two times higher than the American volume, but today the American volume is higher than the Canadian volume.
I think it hits $5+ with JV announcement, maybe $6 if they come in at 40% of the JV.
