We are keeping her CSR for the travel benefits.
It has been more than 48 months since I had my Sapphire bonus.
I assume it would still work if I get the CSP, get the bonus, then transfer the 100k to her bucket of reward points?

Yes, but the 100K is rumored to be ending soon (like tomorrow).

Oh ok I saw 2018 and assumed that was when you got the card. Yeah you can get the bonus and transfer to the CSR for the higher redemption. Although I you'll likely have to call Chase or send a secure message to transfer the points. For some reason they have removed the ability to transfer between household cards online. You can still do it if you had made a transfer previously but not between new cards.

Thanks everyone!
I'm going to apply today. The email does say that I have through 7/30.
Wondering if I should try and churn Ink too. I haven't looked into churning in years though. Have the restrictions tightened on non-business owners opening business cards?

I've always used my SSN and never had an issue with the three business cards I have. I don't have a legit business but I do some work on the side from time to time which is usually good enough for most banks. I'm going to look at the Chase Ink Preferred next year for my son's tuition and just eat the fee.

I really can't remember when I actually got my bonus with my CSR... Is there any quick way to check this?
I have a crap memory when it comes to this. Hate to sign up for the card if I'm still in the 48 month window.
ETA: Ok so it looks like I received the CSR signup bonus from the statement in 6/4/2017. I should be eligible to receive the signup bonus again.

I'm sure you're not like me and don't have that many CCs.
You can sign up for something like Credit Karma and then go back through your credit report pulls.
One will be Chase Bank. Since the bonus probably had to be earned 3 months from the credit pull, you just count 51 months or so from the credit pull.

They put the type of credit card at the top of the statements. So I was able to backtrack to my first statement with the CSR. Went back 3 months to see which month the bonus hit. And boom - June 2017.
Should be good to go.

It didn't ask for one. It was already pre-loaded on my chase account under offers.

Ya the whole damn CC number is on those.
Didn't recall they offered the statements going back four years on the website. Good reminder.

I just DM on the site and ask when I received bonus. I had downgraded CSR and wanted to get the CSP and did not want to miss the bonus. Just got CSP for myself and wife this year. Need to churn my business card soon.

Just received an email for my CSR on its new reward system:
5X points on flights booked though ultimate rewards.
10X points on hotels booked through ultimate rewards.
10X point on prepaid restaurants booked through ultimate rewards.
edit: the new bonus points go into effect after the initial $300 annual spend on travel which is still credited.
You'll still get 3X on all of these if purchased outside of the UR portal.

I’m currently in the boat of trying to decide weather to go with the CSP or the CSR. We travel moderately on normal years <$10k and I currently have a Marriott Bonvoy card. On one hand the CSR’s annual $300 travel credit is appealing, but the CSP’s low fee and 100k bonus points is also a draw. What say the MT?

Neither card is that good outside of the signup bonus

CSP is arguably a better card with recent changes and the sign-up bonus is much higher. Lounge access is nice, but so many cards have that nowadays and you can always upgrade next year and will have 30K more points from the sign up bonus this year.

I have been banking with BofA forever, but I just read all about their CRT training for employees. I need a new bank and credit card for travel.

Mine was automatic, they charged me $450. I understand that is for existing card holders. If you are new to sign up, it’s $550.

I dropped my Chase SR two months ago and I'm considering the Venture X. I've never had a Cap One issued card. Any advice or thoughts on the new Venture X?

100,000-point sign up bonus
10,000-point anniversary bonus
2x points on all purchases
access to the Cap One lounges (which will be a nice addition to various airports)
Priority Pass access
ETC...
Ever since Capital One enhanced its transfer ratios to 1:1 with just about all of its airline partners, it's been a great choice and on even par with Chase and AMEX and just a tad higher than Citi, in my opinion, in terms of overall value (unless Citi maintains the ability to transfer to American, I prefer the transfer partners of the others overall).
The Venture X is the best new card on the market.
